We arrived after having to get our own transportation, which we had pre-arranged and the hotel lost. When they let me know what room I had, they mentioned there was no window(!) So of course I was charged extra to get a room with a window. Then there was the part about my booking about my reservation not being all-inclusive. Which most of the staff made me uncomfortable about. The hotel is one of the originals, so it's a bit out dated. All in all this was an average stay if not for the beautiful ocean that made up for it. I would not recommend this hotel. And I feel they should let travelers know about rooms without a window. That might be important to someone.

Overall, the food and service is good, we can always get a chair any time of day, and the room is spacious! We never had a problem getting a reservation in the morning, and the buffet and restaurants were delicious. This is a smaller resort but for a couples getaway it is perfect and intimate. The rooms could use some minor pampering but were still overall clean and offered exactly what a couple would need to relax and enjoy a beach getaway.

Our snorkeling trip got cancelled twice due to rough ocean. We had booked thru the Expedia rep at the property, so check with them a couple of hours prior to pickup time to see if port is closed.

20 minutes south of Playa del Carmen by car. This is by far the best beach we found. Beautiful white sand, chill vibe, a couple of small hotels and restaurants, and plenty of empty beach space. Amazing spot!!
