"We spent five nights in this unique hotel with a fascinating history. It is set by the River Lahn in the beautiful spa town of Bad Ems. The facilities such as the thermal pool were superb and we made full use of them. The staff could not have been more helpful, the room was really clean and comfortable and the food excellent. It is unashamedly old-fashioned but is full of character and we had a superb holiday there. Highly recommended!"

The man at the front desk told us we could park across the lot in another business's lot for $10.00 cash a day which seemed kind of strange. He said he gives the cash to the other business. "Hotel was clean and had breakfast from 6-10 every morning for a purchase. I loved our rooms and bathroom. The place had a cozy atmosphere to it and pleasant view from my window. Each room had a portable fan and I could open the window for a fresh air! First I was disappointed that rooms had no A/C , since we were there in August. But, with windows open letting fresh mountain air in and the fan, I spent a very comfortable night there. "
