"My concerns were about the arrival process. I booked this on the train from Lisbon arriving at 2:45 pm. So I didn’t get check in details until after I arrived, so if you don’t have data you are SOL as reception closes at 3 pm ( Get that , check in at 3 ,doors shut tight at 3) I tried to call from the train and train station upon arrival but no answer. "The staffs are friendly and helpful. The hotel is within walking distance to major landmarks and attractions. The hotel is very clean and there is a laundromat nearby (2 mins walk). The bathroom can use a better ventilator, it can get fogged up when you close the door completely when taking shower."

"This hotel is in middle of the city which is great if you want to walk around and eveything was easy to get to. Getting a taxi is easy or bolt like uber is very friendly. The staff is super nice and friendly the breakfast was serviced with so much care. We enjoyed that alot. But the bed is hard mattresses that was very uncomfortable for us. The room we selected was garden facing but no view of the garden that was disappointing. The sofa bed was also not very comfortable. "

"The beds seemed fine but the air conditioning didn’t work properly. The bedroom overlooked the back where a constant whirring noise from the multiple air con condensers were placed. From time to time, we can smell cigarette smoke even throughout the night. The night that we stayed there was a massive argument outside between a group of men n women which could clearly be heard in the apartment."

"The hotel is difficult to locate, Google maps takes you to one street over. When you find the front door it looks like an apartment entrance in a row of shops. Then you have to climb stairs. But it is worth the effort. Great staff and service. Lots of character and very clean."

"Our host Raphael was wonderful. He met us at the apartment and assisted with our luggage. He was willing to answer any questions during our stay. The place itself was very clean and included all the basic kitchen amenities. It’s in a convenient location with many places to eat that were great and at a reasonable price. If someone has mobility issues, this place may be difficult as it’s on the fourth floor with steep stairs. There is no elevator. "
