"This was our second time staying at Cathy’s beautiful home. We love it there. The hosts are so hospitable, and the property is beautiful! It is also such a good location. So close to Plage des alizés and Plage de la Porte d’Enfer which are both stunning. And the view of the waves as we drive through town always makes us smile. "Amazing stay. Our first time in Guadeloupe. We stayed a week. The owner, Geoff, was super friendly and helpful, he spoke both French and English. The apartment had everything you needed for a week stay and Geoff got anything we asked for. There is not maid service, which was fine with us, we cooked meals. There was even an outdoor grill for use. We had a car but it was an easy walk to St. Francois to the marina, golf course, casino, restaurants, and beach. Very nice, small pool and chairs...

"When I was booking this hotel I was baffled why some reviewers rated it excellent and others terrible. Having now been there I understand perfectly. This is an old hotel with lots of character and ambience and great, friendly service. It has a big pool and private beach with lunch restaurant as well as a restaurant and bar in the main building. We loved it. The room was very nice, But if you are looking for all the modern conveniences of a U.S. hotel and 21st century plumbing, you could be disappointed. If mobility is an issue I would stay somewhere else as there are lots of steps. "

"The resort is ver well staffed- there is always someone to assist with anything you need. They make good use of the very tiny beach but once you are in the resort you are a captive audience- nothing close by for eating, drinking, shopping, etc. we had a car but traffic was challenging and you certainly are not going to drive after a few beers 😳"
