"The property is undoubtedly small. It was very clean and comfortable - a perfect base for exploring this wonderful area. Plenty of grocery stores and pubs/restaurants in surrounding area. A very steep narrow staircase leading to the second level of the property. I note this has been mentioned in other reviews too. Overall, my wife and I were very satisfied with the property."

We stayed in apartment- and ate at pub in Portinscale only a 15 minute walk into Keswick lovely walk. Apartment clean , everything you need . The building is Victorian, plenty of room in apartment set in lovely grounds. It is dated, and the hall entrance could do with repainting and new carpets to make it more inviting for guests. "Absolutely loved our stay here, the secret door was the topper to a wonderful placw to stay. Yes it wasnt the warmest before the heaters kicked jn but there were.cosy blankets, additional heaters and a the warmest duvet ive ever slept under! Loved the great hall and the pool table. "

"Lovely little cottage, close to Penrith, keswick and ullswater so plenty of options for things to do. The cottage is ideal for the two of us and the pooch, and is our second time staying there and most likely will be returning next year. We even saw a red squirrel which was very nice, though it was too fast for a photograph. The bed is comfy and the shower is amazing after a long walk. It's pretty much got everything you need. Another great stay at Erikas cottage. "

"Pooley Bridge is one of my favourite places on earth. I've been going since 1982 and on that occassion I had a pint or two in the Pooley Bridge Inn. I've stayed before here and it's great to know that it's still as fabulous as it's alwasy been. Room was beautiful, balcony was lovely to have. Food is outstanding, the staff are all so helpful and full of joy. It has such a positive vibe, fills you with energy and also relaxes too. 10 out of 10"
