"Great view from restaurant. Restaurant was expensive and also the in room mini bar. Not a good restaurant for picky eaters. Lots of flies during our visit. Would not recommend rooms facing the road. Odd electrical outlets requiring a specific plug. Yes, it’s the 240 European outlet, but the round plug doesn’t fit. It must be the slim two prong plug. Hotel shares parking lot with gas station and car dealership but didn’t have a problem parking. What the hotel lacked the scenery made up for. "

"Perfect location for visiting Chillon Castle. And the hotel itself is full of history, retaining its bel epoque charm. Loved it! Their special 4 course dinner is completely worth it. One warning though... use the bus or taxi to get there. Otherwise you are hoofing it up a super steep hill to reach the hotel."

"This hostel feels very clean and safe. The staff was very nice and helpful and breakfast included is a plus! I would say that this is pretty over priced for a hostel dormitory but it seems to be the only reputable option in the area. Overall would recommend! "

"The property was lovely and we had a stunning view of the garden and lake from our balcony. The main patio off reception is gorgeous with seating areas and a fire - which was a bonus as it was chilly. The property is right on the promenade that takes you to the main strip. It's about a 10 minute walk along the promenade but the walk is beautiful next to the lake. "

"Good value in a great location. I had a room overlooking the lake - was quiet enough given the relatively busy street below. Nice little balcony as well. Check-in was easy. Some furnishings were a bit rough around the edges but everything was clean."

"Hotel Victoria is around a 3 minute walk from Glion station (cog train from Montreux train station which takes around 12 mins). Stunning views from our lakeside room. Room 3 has an interconnecting door to Room 2 and is not particularly well soundproofed. Due to health issues with our neighbour, little sleep was had on the first night. "As an older female, and solo traveller, I found The Freddie Mercury Hotel to be very safe indeed. Conveniently located and easily accessibleat the end of the Montreux train station platform.
