"The cabins are nice and have a mini kitchen and a comfortable bed. The area is quiet and the stars are bright. The property is quiet and surrounded by beautiful trees. We were there off season and it was nice to sit on the front porch and listen to the red squirrels chatter and watch the chipmunks. It’s a good stay for 2-3 nights."

"Upon booking we did not realize the cottage was off grid. However, the host was good about explaining how to manage the solar power and generator. We arrived at dusk and found it hard to navigate our way through the trees and multiple turns to get to the cottage. It is a unique location on a beautiful lake. "We had a great stay from August 20-27. We chose this spot as it was close to family in the area and we wanted to be able to base ourselves close to them while also being within an hour or so of a lot of Halifax, Peggy's Cove, etc. The cottage was a great size, with lots of space for our family to relax and spread out. The kitchen was very well-appointed. The outdoor space was just wonderful - we enjoyed a campfire almost every night, and during the day the kids spent hours in the paddleboat...
