Piazza Brescia

Piazza Brescia

A Ferris wheel, events venue and a tourist information office are some of the things to visit in and around this plaza with water features, flowers and sand statues.

The Piazza Brescia is a square containing a bright set of gardens showcasing myriad fountains and sculptures. Its floral displays and grassy patches bring color to the large, rectangular plaza, which is dwarfed by a large Ferris wheel. If you visit Piazza Brescia on a hot day, let your kids stroll between the fountain jets.

Walk along the paths that meander through the square and take note of the impressive sand sculptures, many of which portray dinosaurs and mythological creatures. To see the real thing, head to the Tropicarium Park in the plaza’s northwestern corner. It has geckos, salamanders and crocodiles, as well as bull sharks and jellyfish.

The Tropicarium is part of the PalaInvent Jesolo (previously known as Palazzo del Turismo), which also has an auditorium that hosts a range of musical and social events. Watch basketball, soccer, volleyball and other indoor activities in its sports center, which seats for more than 4,000 spectators.

Back outside, climb aboard the Wheel of Venice for breathtaking views of the town, the beach and the Adriatic Sea. Look down on the pretty trees, sculptures and fountains of the piazza, which seem small from a height of around 197 feet (60 meters). The Ferris wheel lights up at night, casting a glow over the square.

Come down to earth and visit the Tourist Information Center to ask about events and activities in the area. You can also enjoy a few drinks in the bars flanking the square’s western side.

Piazza Brescia is a little southwest of the center of Lido di Jesolo. From Jesolo, drive south for 2.5 miles (4 kilometers) to get here in less than 10 minutes or travel by bus to a nearby stop. Leave your car in one of the surrounding parking lots.

Make your way around the district on foot to see attractions such as the SEA LIFE Lido di Jesolo, the Parco Pegaso and the Cinema Teatro Vivaldi.
