The experience started poorly as we arrived at the hotel. Before we even flew, the hotel messaged to ask when we would be arriving. I gave an estimate of around 10 am arrival. We knew that our room most likely wouldn’t be ready, which was completely fine with us. Our flight happened to be delayed, plus the traffic, we didn’t get to the hotel till around 11:30 am. Upon arrival they said to us that if we pay €30 extra, they could have the room ready in 15, 20 min. I was appalled by this request. This meant that our room was already vacant, and they could and had the resource to clean it, but would only do it if we paid more. Where’s the customer service? Aside from this, if you sleep in, and decide to leave your hotel room late, at around 3pm, don’t expect them to clean your room or refreshen your room without getting a passive aggressive email stating that their housekeeping service is from the morning till 4PM. Yes, you read that right, we left at 3, and while the service is till 4PM, they stated in the email that they won’t clean our room. I’ve never had this problem at any of the hotels that I stayed at.
Pro: very convenient
Cons: can hear the subway line from underground. The air conditioner doesn’t work properly, super hot with no way of turning it down.
