"The hotel has a unique vibe, a mixture of old as the original buildings is around 118 years old, but modern as the rooms are modern and the restaurant is a pleasure to eat in. It is off the noisy Main Street and a short walk to the hot springs. Everything was in excellent condition and Paulo was super helpful in all areas. His English was great which helped us a lot."

"Excellent stay. This is a family run hotel so very unofficial and welcoming making solo impromptu travel much easier when any reservation changes occur. As a solo traveler I felt extremely safe staying there and felt more like home than a hotel. "My husband and I stayed here a couple nights on the Baños portion of our Ecuador trip and were really impressed with the service and of course the amazing view! The manager is very helpful and always assisted us bringing things up and down the stairs. There was an assortment of things in the mini bar to purchase which was convenient. The bed is very comfortable and the blinds make it dark enough to sleep in after a night out on the town. The jet tub is wonderful, perfect place to relax and admire the view. Also, you are served homemade breakfast in a basket each morning - super cute. The only down sides are that the power will go out and if it’s after midnight they can’t run the compressors (which makes sense). Also, the hot water is inconsistent. However these inconveniences don’t take away from the overall experience. If I’m ever in Baños again I would certainly stay again. A beautiful and unique experience!"

"This hotel does a great job of everything in my opinion. They have lovely grounds, the staff is all happy too help with anything, you have access to a large jug of drinking water so can cut down on single use bottles, breakfast was perfect for me with two eggs cooked to request, a bowl of fruity, a large fruit juice, two croissant type rolls with butter and jelly and a personal pot of coffee or two large mugs worth with cocoa powder on the table and milk if you like. It is indeed an uphill walk home three to four blocks of gentle slope and 1/2 that is steep but as a reward you have great views of the valley,a nice breeze and less noise than in town, and if the hill is too daunting a taxi from town will cost you $1.50 so at the price this hotel is still a bargain."
