"Levanto is a perfect location for anyone interested of exploring Cinque Terre and frankly Levanto itself is an outstanding beautiful beach resort on the Italian Riviera. Loved the location. I accidentally locked my key in the room at midnight. The property is not a hotel but a managed rental. Fortunately I was able to get a hold of the manager who came and let me in at midnight. She was so gracious. My advice is to ask for two keys and make sure to be mindful of your keys. Enjoyed our stay. "

"We loved this lovely and friendly hotel. A very nice continental breakfast and a super convertible room. More like a bed and breakfast than a hotel, in the middle of this gorgeous town. Thank you once again to Alberto and Francesca for taking such good care of us. "

"Super friendly owner. Clean and comfortable room and building. Wifi worked great, though the AC unit had switched from cold to hot for the building, but the fan worked. The whole town is very walkable so plenty of groceries and restaurants near by."

"Great place to stay when visiting the Cinque Terre! Has a lot of parking spaces. Situated in the woods, very unique setting. Rooms are modest. Fridge and the safe were not working. "If you get the opportunity to stay in this place, grab it. Helpful and very friendly staff, gorgeous place. We stayed in the suites, and had a beautiful view of the Bay of Silence. 3rd stay - always a pleasure

"Feb 2023, 2024, 2025 we stayed for a couple nights at the Excelsior Palace and every time has been a great experience. Rooms are lovely, very comfortable, great amenities (we've been in 3 classifications: all were great). The breakfast buffet is wonderful: lots of choice including made to order items. The view from the dining room is gorgeous. The location is spectacular with views over the Med, infinity pools that hang out over the sea are wonderful - warm & there are both pool-side and indoor showers, changing rooms, a gym, etc.. LOVE that it's 10 minute walk into the heart of Rapallo 10 minute walk to beach restos in San Michele 25-30 min walk to Santa Margherita Bus stops at the foot of the hotel which runs from Santa Margherita train station to the Rapallo train station so if you overdo it, easy to hop on! "

"Fantastic. Great hotel, professional staff, great location. Just be really careful if you need to park. If you miss the gate it's a 8-minute drive back. The only drawback was the heat in the room (winter). It was very hot. The desk turned the heat off remotely for us but it was still 82+ in there so we had to leave the door open (40's outside) to sleep."

"Best view in Santa Margherita Ligure. Large balconies that you can enjoy a drink and the view from. Truly convenient central location. And if you need a snack they have ice creams, soft drinks etc in the foyer, open 24 hours for convenience. The perfect party place in summer."

"One of Portofino’s finest hotels. Our private, luxurious, high-ceiling, large room with a balcony overlooking the sea was a total treat. A fairy tale. A short stroll to the bay of Portofino where all the action is on the waterfront. The staff were so friendly and kind, they really took great care of us. We hope to return one summer to take advantage of the hotels own private beach. "
