Cabin Retreat

We loved escaping the valley heat for the quiet solitude of the White Mountains. The cabin’s secluded location off a street corner provided privacy, with outdoor space for play and we enjoyed how every window overlooked at least some trees and natural land. There were plenty of fun things to do for kids of all ages around Heber-Overgaard, including hiking trails, shopping, incredible stargazing, and more. The cabin was well-stocked with cooking supplies, had reliable internet (perfect for working on the porch), and ample linens, towels, toys, and games. The heating worked great, and portable A/C units kept it cool in October. There were a few aspects of our stay that were less than desirable. The previous occupants had left chip crumbs on the leather recliner, coffee remnants in the mugs, insufficient dish soap, drained batteries in the remotes, and a broken bathroom toilet paper dispenser upstairs. For the most part it was quiet and private, although it was unfortunate that one of the neighbors had a loud outdoor jacuzzi party that drove us inside, and even then, we could still hear their music. Since this property is run by Rim Lakes Vacation Rentals, every aspect from reservation to check-out was fully automated, which was convenient, but also very impersonal. I texted about the issues but received no response. Despite these minor inconveniences, we would definitely bring our family back to enjoy the cabin again.

Lookout Lane

Finding a place and booking were very easy. Property managers were very helpful. The cabin on Lookout Lane was perfect for our stay in Heber Overheard. Had everything we needed. I would book this property again.

Cabins Interior is Adorable

Inside the cabin is so cute - outside a little work could make it nicer. Like there was junk all under the deck (didn’t affect our stay). We loved the inside especially the rooms and decor. The main con was I bought a ton of groceries to cook that night and then I realized they didn’t have any pots that were large enough to boil spaghetti noodles. Then I noticed the next day or so that the refrigerator was not cooling and that the meat and other items were lukewarm. That was pretty much the only real issue. If u do cook bring your seasonings including salt.

Lookout Lane cabin was great

We booked the cabin in end of July for 4 nights while visiting my parents. The cabin was very comfortable. My boys loved having their own rooms downstairs. The front porch was fabulous. We all sat on the porch while it rained. We would absolutely book this cabin again and my parents plan to have all of their visitors book this cabin.

Nice Accomodation

The cabin is just as appears in photos. The Automated communication about our Reservation, Check in, Entry, Early checkin request was excellent. Very nice, Clean, basic accommodations. We arrived in July and it was extremely hot that week. We needed air conditioning to sleep well, this property has several box fans but does not have AC so we left a day early. I would absolutely recommend the cabin just not in hottest part of summer.

Great Cabin!

Wonderful cabin! We were excited to get away from Phoenix heat!!! Great location, easy to find. Nice clean rooms and bathrooms. It was little bit hot during the day time, especially on the second floor and small bedrooms on the first floor. Towards the evening we were able to open windows and it was very pleasant. We loved the patio!!! Great place to drink morning coffee and enjoy the nature!!! We are recommending this beautiful cozy cabin!!! May be we will try at winter time as well!!!!

Great getaway but still a bit warm…

Coming from tucson we enjoyed the cool mornings and very large deck. We stayed outside for most of our visit. The hot days and large west facing windows heated up the loft and kitchen. They were cool by morning but there is no a/c. Some may find this too uncomfortable. Lower bedrooms stayed much cooler. Would stay again in spring or fall or with fewer people so we didn’t need to use the loft.

Very nice home on a wooded lot at the end of a cul de sac. I was concerned about there being no air conditioning. It was 85° when we arrived at 1600. We opened windows, turned on fans, and took showers after a long day of motorcycle riding. By then the sun was dipping below the horizon and so was the temperature. We all slept great…..no need for air.

Beautiful Cabin

This place was wonderful!! Perfect for us and son and daughter in law!!! The deck was great for the dogs!!! Kaydee and her husband Jared were very nice and easy to talk to. From check in to check out was fast and easy. Would most definitely stay here again!!!! Recommend staying here if you want peace and quite!!
