My husband and I enjoyed our stay here, overall. We think it was great bang for our buck, and would recommend it to any solo traveler in a heartbeat, and to other couples with some caveats. The host was responsive and friendly. There were a few treats left in the fridge that we enjoyed.
As we do not take frequent stays away from home, some aspects of the guest house were difficult for us to get comfortable with. I didn't want to dock my scores much since that might not be everyone's deal, so I'll frame my recommendations thusly - ABSOLUTELY stay here if you:
- Want to stay outside Orlando proper, but still have plenty of shops, restaurants and nature parks to visit nearby. Seriously, almost anything you want or need should be within a 20 minute drive or less.
- Are sticking to a budget and/or visiting briefly.
- Don't want to prepare your own meals much, or just do heat-and-serve.
- Are single, a parent with child, or a couple already accustomed to sleeping on a queen sized bed.
- Are not bothered by slow draining showers, or the possibility of running out of hot water on a long one, or two consecutive.
- Aren't too bothered by morning noise, primarily lawn but also nearby construction work. It may be quieter here during the weekend, but our stay was on weekdays.
