First trip to Disney

The property was exactly what we needed for our stay. It was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Conveniently located by Disney and Wal-Mart. The kids enjoyed the pool at the house and water park attraction on the grounds. Will stay here again.

Nice condo

Overall comfortable condo. Pool, water slides are nice for kids. Pictures of condo are accurate. Not a great location if traveling to Universal due to traffic on I4.

Fun at Windsor Hills

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Windsor Hills townhouse. Our rental was in a great location in relation to Disney World. Our 4 and 9 year olds spent lots of time in the townhouse pool. They appreciated the pool toys provided. Everyone enjoyed the resort's heated pool and water slide. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Make sure to plan ahead

This property was PERFECT for our family. The convenience of the pool in the backyard was awesome and the neighborhood amenities was great! The only snag was we had a second vehicle in our party that had some trouble getting through the front gate, but thanks to our super-responsive host we were able to add our second driver's name to the guest list very quickly.

Great place to stay!

We absolutely loved this place! My husband and I traveled with our five children (15, 13, 10, and twin one year olds). All of the kids enjoyed the private pool way more than I even expected. The house was clean and updated, and the beds were extremely comfortable (especially in the master). Having a large family, it was really nice to have a lot of beds and bathrooms, and we really appreciated the little details like the pack and play, crib, high chair, and many other amenities. We would absolutely stay here again.

We could have used more than 1 hand towel and wash cloth per bathroom and 1 dish towel in kitchen. .No furniture with drawers in the bedrooms. Not enough silverware— 4 forks. Dining room chairs were not safe. Waited too long for the owner to respond to our questions!!!

Best decision to choose here

As a family of 6 (including my mother in law) this was the perfect place to stay. All the privacy we needed. Backs onto a greenspace for frisbee. A short walk to the water park. Couldn't ask for more. Make sure to get the pool heated. That made the pool perfect in January. Our kids were in there the entire time we were home! They were very sad to leave :)

Would not stay here again. Owner tried to charge us 140.00 for damage to property we did not do. She said she took my word wouldn't charge 3 days later she charged me. Place needs a deep cleaning.

Pros: Loved the location of the townhouse to the water park - very short walk! Kids LOVED the water park! Beds were comfortable. Had plenty of towels for the weekend. Had a keurig machine! Cons: Downstairs bath had the best water pressure and temperature - upstairs two bathrooms did not. Downstairs bedroom did not have power when we arrived. Splash pool was too cold to enjoy (rain + not heated). Check in process at gate was backed up and took a while - could be more efficient.

Nice but needs additional cleaning

Upon first impression the condo was very nice. Amenities as described. We did have an issue with bugs when we woke up the next morning - on the table, counter, around the pool area. Texted the property manager and 2 days later the cleaner showed up as the were busy - she brought a cab of raid and left it. We choose to just not have any meals at the condo as the ones on the table we’re back an hour later. I’d suggest having a pest control company treat the unit. The house did have plenty of seating and dishes but was lacking any extra blankets so if you are cold natured like me I suggest you bring your own blanket as the bed spreads are very thin. Overall we had a great trip just some inconveniences that we dealt with.

Would visit again.

Overall the house was just what we needed. Very close to the main pool and clubhouse. Rooms were nice with comfy beds, etc. The small pool at the house was a nice surprise as it was 5 feet deep and the boys spent hours in it. There were a few extras in the closet such as beach chairs, umbrella, toys etc. We added to this also with a couple things we couldn't bring home. Also the properties location to stores and restaurants was great. A few of the things that could make this place even better would be to have a spruce up of painting walls, baseboards etc. Also some walls and doors could be a tad cleaner. Also with only 5 or 6 forks and spoons it is tough to a family of 6 to each have one. Other utensils and dishes were just fine. As an overall impression, we would stay again as it's a nice place, great location and good price. Just a few updates would make it perfect! We had a great stay in Florida.

Well maintained and very clean. Updated kitchen appliances and like new living room furniture. Quick walk to pool area and very easy and quick sign process in at the entry gate. Open backspace and nice clean splash pool if you want to cool off or just sit and relax. Not to take away from the above, I'd suggest that the owner looks into the following. I would recommend that the king size mattress be replaced soon as it sags and is uncomfortable. Only four coffee cups and six small drinking glasses. Suggest that the owner buys more especially if six guest. No dish towels available so buying a few would be good. Too much furniture in the living room area and very little room to move around comfortably. Removing the large chair would help. Otherwise this unit was very nice and we'd consider returning.

Quality stay for the price

Fairly priced and good location. Pros: townhouse is well stocked with lots of little extras - pool towels, Tupperware, etc. great little pool, end unit so it feels more open back there. Clean unit. Great ice maker on fridge! New laundry machine, but door to that closet was not on so ver loud. We also liked the ceiling fans in all rooms. This is a quieter area of the resort which we liked very much. Great sleep! Cons: paid extra for pool heat and arrived to dirt, freezing pool. Called and they fixed it but missed out on one day without any compensation. There were also 4 bath towels upon arrival and no dish towel. Again called and they were delivered, but just annoying. Bed on first floor has a warped mattress (high in middle, sinks on both sides). Needs to be replaced badly. Kitchen needs better knives - all were quite dull.

So many alternatives, stay elsewhere

We have been staying at Windsor Hills for the past four years, each time trying a new location. I recommend staying elsewhere. We have normally stayed in the condos, but decided to spend a little extra this time to get the plunge pool. The pool heat cost extra, which we paid in advance. When we checked in it was obvious the pool had not been serviced as there was some minor buildup and the heat was not working - water temp in the 70s. On our third day maintenance showed up to service the pool. And finally by the end of the third day of our six day rental, the pool was actually up to temp (90 degrees). On day four, when we went to leave for the day, we discovered the keypad lock was not locking. After several calls with management, there was no physical backup key anywhere. We couldn't leave without securing our belongings, so we had to wait for maintenance to arrive and change out the lock. Our plans for the day were ruined. When trying multiple times to discuss these issues with the property owner, there was absolutely no apologies or courtesy given. What I thought was a very reasonable request to refund us for the heat not working for three days or for a day rental of our stay since we had to oversee maintenance on his property and cancel our vacation plans, we were told we should have cancelled the heat and that the lock not working/lack of physical key backup was none of our business. We are good renters and don't ask for much. Terrible experience with this property owner

Terrible Owner, Not Luxury Property

This property is far from “luxury.” There are all kinds of issues with the house. The dryer knob did not work - which the owner was clearly aware of as we received a message that someone was coming to fix it on Friday. However, we weren’t made aware of the fact that it didn’t work and couldn’t dry our clothes. The toilet seat in the master bedroom broke when my husband sat down on it the first day we were there. It clearly had to have been loose when we arrived. It took 4 days before it was fixed. The person they sent to fix it took over 20 minutes to simply replace a new toilet seat. Then the owner charged us for a new seat. (which we even offered to buy and replace ourselves). Only 4 of the 10 or so lights in the master bathroom weren’t burnt out. The owner accused us of having dogs in the house and that her cleaners had to take extra time to clean up dog hair. We did not have a dog with us. She clearly doesn’t believe that we had no dog as she is still accusing us of that. There was no dog hair in the condo when we checked out. She also accused us of damaging the screen in the pool area. The screen was damaged when we arrived. Further, we didn’t even go outside to the pool area. I could go on and on about the maintenance issues at the house. Further, when contesting the charge for the toilet seat, the owner has been rude and continues to accuse us of doing other damage to the property. We travel a lot and have never had issues with the places we stay. So, unless you want to be accused of doing damage you didn’t do or getting unreasonable charges, I would not recommend staying with this owner. **I had this review ready to post but afterback and forth messages with the owner she told us she would drop the charge for the toilet seat “as a courtesy.” However, my card was just charged. Therefore, I feel like I need to make future renters aware.

Nice location, home needs some attention

My family checked in easily after a 16 hr drive. The home was in a great location. The house was clean enough (could use a freshening up) it looks like when the cleaners come in the surface clean make it look decent and thats fine but it could use a deeper all around baseboard, scrub floors and rugs etc. The ice maker and water do not work on the fridge. After a long drive we had to run back out and grab water. I paid extra to have the pool heated it was not. Ok fine we spoke to the manager and she told my husband how to turn it on. He did and we went to bed shortly after hoping the pool would heat the following day while we went to WDW. Upon coming back our 2nd day after 12 hrs in the park the Air conditioner had leaked from the 2nd floor all inti the kitchen/living area. Food items and diapers etc ruined. The manager was kind and at midnight showed up to clean it all up but unfortunately the ac wasnt working. We slept without ac that night bc at this point they left at 2a. And we were beat. Befpre we went to the park the next day We called vrbo but they said that if we wait to call after 12 hrs they cant help us. Great. The manager told us we could find someplace else as they couldnt guarantee working ac for the remainder of the stay. So on our 2nd park day we spent hrs calling hotels etc to no avail as it was a holiday weekend. We decided to head to the park since it was already 12p and we didnt want to lose the day we paid for. While.we were gone they were able to repair the ac leaving a little musty smell behind but whatever its fixed. We only spent 4 nights there as we decided to come home a day early. It smelled weird and it just felt after back and forth and stress of tryijg to find a place that we were spent. The owner did refund a portion of the stay but made a comment he felt taken advantage of bc he paid someone to come out on a weekend to repair the ac. Excuse me, this is your rental and you did the right thing for a customer not some favor. We lost half a park day buying new stuff, and calling to make sure our kids had a comfy place to rest) after research it appears it was purchased in 2019, the furniture is all the same and the biggest change I could see was cabinets are painted. The great reviews are from just after purchase. It seems this place could use some love. Its a nice home just needs a little freshen up and maybe an owner who gets how this works. The people are renting this for a vacation to relax.
