Waterfront Getaway in sailing village of Oriental

Peaceful waterfront setting for a relaxing stay. Enjoy dinner from home on the balcony. Walk or bicycle along the Oriental waterfront to the charming harbor where there is an adorable coffee and ice cream shot affectionately known as The Bean, Village Gallery, Tiki Bar, New Village Brewery & Taproom and more. Bicycles available. Only one small female or neutered male dog under 20 pounds is allowed with a $25 per day per pet collected prior to arrival.

The Space
The space is open with a beautiful view of Whitaker's Creek. One bedroom with a large couch and ottoman that can be used for a bed. Plenty of room for an air mattress. Kitchen boasts refrigerator, stove, and microwave. Washer and dryer located in large walk in closet. A large balcony for relaxing and enjoying dinner with a panoramic view.

Guest Access
Space has a private access. Free parking and room for boat trailers, kayaks, etc.

Other Things to Note
The house has it's own entrance, however this unit has a flight of stairs. Children are welcome but no children live on the property. Fishing and crabbing are available at our dock. You can also leave shallow draft boats in the water overnight. Has kayak access. Bicycle is also available. Host feeds 20 to 80 snapping turtles within walking distance every night around 5:30. A very memorable sight.

Stays longer than 27 days will be assessed an additional cleaning fee, collected by host prior to arrival.
There are 2 additional dogs that live on the property.

Winter weekend stay
I was in Oriental visiting a sick family member, and it was really nice to be able to retreat to this relaxing vrbo. It was just me, but there was plenty of space, and the layout was good. The management was nice to work with, which I really appreciated. I’m hoping to be back in town soon and would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

This is perhaps the best location and home in Oriental. The views and access to marina and town are hard to beat. Get that hot tub working and I’ll be back!

Great place right on the water
My son and I spent the weekend here and used this place as our home base to do some kayak fishing. Great place and they have their own dock which made fishing super easy. We will definitely stay here again.

Quiet neighborhood, excellent for walking, waterfront, pet friendly. Couldn't have picked a nicer place! Interior was well appointed, nicely decorated and cozy. We felt "at home" immediately. Would go back tomorrow if I could!

Weekend stay in Oriental
The unit and view are beautiful. Finding the entrance was a little confusing in the dark because it is accessed from the deck of the 1st floor unit. The property itself could have been kept a little tidier (camping supplies on the walkway to the unit) but once inside it was perfect. The location was great - we biked everywhere!

AWESOME GET AWAY!!
Wow!! This sweet, lovely home was exactly the perfect relaxing get away that my husband and I were looking for and needed!! The water view is outstanding - ospreys, local fisherman, sail boats, full moon, occasional stormy afternoons on the covered porch, all made for a memorable stay. Everything was so clean and comfortable and Irma’s paintings are beautiful!!! Thank you so very much Irma and Bob for your warm hospitality. The Getsway
Travelled to Oriental for a sailing weekend. The apartment was large, fresh and clean with a fabulous view of the waterfront from both the enclosed living room and the porch. Although we did not cook or do laundry - the availability of those options added to the rest of the features will bring us back. Thank you for a lovely VRBO experience.

Lovely Waterfront Property in the Village of Oriental
We were very pleased with the property and will definitely stay here again when we return to Oriental. The location was great; it is an easy walk or bike ride to the restaurants, coffee shop and brewery. The owners of the property were very friendly, and we felt very welcome.

Relaxing Getaway
Quiet stay. Great view. I realize had we stayed more than two nights the cost/night would have been less and the stay more enjoyable. Total cost for us was over $300 per night when the fees are tallied. For that price the ice maker should work and a couple other minor issues should not exist. Overall, the location was a great escape! Oriental is a treasure.

The apartment is comfortable, clean and has great views of the water, marina and if the season is right a family of osprey. Irma and Bob, the hosts, are very friendly and always open to answering any questions. We look forward to returning in the near future

Amazing view
The inside of the property was beautiful, comfortable and very clean. The covered porch was great even in the rain. The view was beautiful. Sailboats, fish jumping, butterflies and an osprey nest with 2 chicks. It was amazing watching the osprey fly in with a fish and feed their young. The village and great restaurants are a 15 minute walk along the river. The only small drawback was the entrance which is through the owners work equipment to the stairs. The entrance is on the water side not the street side. Coming and going, we were greeted by baby bunnies. Looking forward to our next visit.
