"The great thing about this hotel is it is just next to the JR station. You can access to the hotel without exposing to the sun or rain or snow. We had a quad room with 4 single beds. Quite disappointed that 2 of the beds are actually foldable beds which are not as comfortable as fixed beds."

"Overall the property is nice, but could use a re-fresh and some renovation. Everything appears to be a little dated in the common areas (couches, carpet, rugs, etc) The staff is incredibly friendly, polite and helpful and the best part of the stay."

"We did not use the onsen and we were only here for one night. Things to note… it’s very hard to travel around this area! No Ubers lol. We were able to get people to call us taxis so make sure to have cash! We loved our traditional room, I just wish for foreigners they had instructions. Other than that, we had a great stay :) very peaceful and beautiful area. The view of the mountain was awesome! "

"A wonderful ryokan stay with exceptional Kaiseki dinner, with dinner served in our room. Kaiseki was mostly made with produce well known in the prefecture, made with a lot of care and was so delicious. "The Takinoyu Hotel was superb! It was larger than I thought and very luxurious feeling. We booked one of their more traditional rooms which was very spaceous and the view of the garden was lovely. We didn't have time to visit their baths but they looked very nice. The staff were great also, very friendly and helpful! Overall excellent hotel, would definitely stay here again! "

"spacious room with comfortable beds and an amazing view. delicious buffet breakfast. a bit old-school hotel in that they still use physical key on a gigantic keychain but kind of quaint in a way. our stay was perfect and the only gripe was there's no kettle nor bottled water provided, only a small metal cup for heating water for tea."

"Convenient location to the train station. The room is cozy, but has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The water pressure is great, so it is easy to have a relaxing shower. The Japanese breakfast was delicious and had great options. The breakfast was a nice way to start the day."
