"The house is wonderful, with plenty of space to use and comfortable. However, it is extremely important to have some adjustments for the safety of the guests. My father-in-law didn't see the step that connects the kitchen to the living room and ended up falling, thankfully he didn't get hurt. The house needs signage on the steps, a non-slip mat to put in the bathtub, which is slippery, and a manual on how to use the stove, which we ended up not being able to use. "What a beautiful property! We had an hours-long tour with Kathy, the caretaker, who lives in a cottage at the back of the property. There was so much to explore! The kids loved the pool. We played tennis. We walked, and walked, and walked. Quirky, and fun! Kathy and the team go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. "My stay at DERWENT DELIGHT was highly disappointing. The property lacked cleanliness, with dust and grime covering furniture, beds, linens, and carpets. To make matters worse, the property was plagued by an overwhelming number of spiders and cobwebs. Everywhere, there were webs in corners, ceilings & on furniture. "Spent the night at this property when passing through on the way to Adelaide. Staff upon check in were lovely and very helpful with questions we had. The room was perfect for a family of 3, air conditioning worked very well, nice clean room and bathroom, complimentary bottles of water in the fridge along with milk, tea and coffee, the pool was very nice after a long drive but you do need to leave a $20 deposit which you get back when you return the key, we will definitely be back again on our next trip. "
