The toilet did splash up over the rim when you flushed it, so we made sure to close the lid each time, but there was really no water in the bowl, perhaps less than 1/2 cup, then it would erupt when flushed, but honestly not a big deal. The heat was off (-20) but we figured out how to turn it on ourselves. The thermostat was fine, it was the heat...
