We loved staying in a more rural part of the Smoky Mountains where we could enjoy the beauty and the smaller-town atmosphere of Bryson City without all the traffic. The sunsets and hot tub were wonderful - as was the nearby Nantahala Outdoor Center. We did not want to leave, and hope to return soon! I recommend bringing an SUV or higher clearance vehicle as opposed to a sports car - it's easier to drive up the hill on the gravel road. "

"Such a cool place to stay. 15 minutes off the Blue Ridge Parkway with beautiful Mountain views from the front porch of my cabin. Each cabin has two rooms but if you’re just renting one, they won’t put strangers next door...so you have the place to yourself. Staff was so nice. I didn’t eat meals there but found it very charming that they serve family style and even ring a bell when it’s time to eat. The whole stay was like taking a step back in time in the best way. I’ll definitely be back."
