"Only speaking minimal French it was difficult communicating with the manager, as she spoke no English. Likewise the information for the house was only in French. There was 13 of us and just had enough room to all eat together, but it was a squeeze. Also the oven and fridge are small for large group. Lovely big garden but uneven making it hard for the kids to play and run around. With all the space a swimming pool would have been good/useful as a little drive from any beach. We had everything we needed: the beach just a few metres away, space for our bikes, well-equipped kitchen, a wonderful private courtyard, and a luxurious shower room. And an unexpected bonus: a surprise downstairs loo (couldn't see it on the property listing). Le Vieil is one of the most beautiful parts of the island, and perfectly situated to reach our favourite beaches, restaurants and markets. A real pleasure to stay here, and we can't wait to go back another year!"
