200 metres and you're at one of the best beaches in Australia. The Merewether Ocean Baths beckon those with small children or those who wish to do a few laps. With the Beaches Hotel and The Merewether Surf House across the road, you couldn't ask for a better location for a getaway. Within easy distance to Darby Street, The Junction and the Supercar track, Life's a Merewether Beach!
The space
This three bedroom townhouse has all the amenities required for a comfortable stay for the family, a group of friends or singles. Two bedrooms and the main bathroom with separate toilet are located downstairs as well as the laundry with direct access to the garage. A porta cot and high chair are available if required.
Walk up the internal stairway to the main living area, kitchen, dining and the large main bedroom with an ensuite and separate toilet. Off the bedroom is also a study with a desk and wardrobes for those who have a longer stay. There is a separate toilet on this level so is very convenient.
The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances in case you want to cook up a storm.
After a day at the beach relax on the balcony with a glass of your favourite beverage be it a coffee, tea, a fragrant Hunter Valley wine or a boutique beer from Port Stephens.
Make sure to connect to the internet so that you can stay in touch with your friends and family or even continue with your business dealings. Turn on the TV so you don't miss those vital episodes of your favourite shows.
Have a long hot shower or relax in the bath before having a nap. Dinner choices are extensive being within easy walking distance to The Junction or catch a taxi/uber to Darby Street (about a half hour walk).
Through the day, take a leisurely walk to Merewether Beach and follow the path to The Newcastle Memorial Walk. From this vantage point, take your binoculars to spot the whales during their migration season from June to November. On any Sunday, walk a bit further around to Nobby's to visit the Lighthouse or walk along the breakwater to watch how the tugs and the pilot (look for the helicopter) manoeuvre these huge tankers through the harbour to their birthing spot. It's almost like you could touch them.
Walk to Dixon Park Beach and take a picnic. The playground is fantastic and great if you have a ball or Frisbee with lots of green spaces.

Kitchen contains basic items for guests (tea, coffee, toilet paper etc). Milk is not supplied as everyone's preferences these days is different. These items will not be replenished during your stay. There are shops close by for you to be able to purchase items from. .
**No pool/beach towels are supplied. You will need to bring your own.
There is construction happening directly across the road from the property.
