"Aesthetically absolutely beautifully designed interior, however not so functional. We stayed over the new year so it was cold/dry weather so we wish they had humidifiers. The beds are extremely comfortable unlike the beds at the major hotels so we were able to get rest well to recover from 13 hours flight. Unfortunately unlike other guests, we didn't get response from the owner quickly. We got a response 3 days after we checked out which was not a big deal anyway. "

"Very impressed with the Onoma Tsuruga Resort. We stayed for two nights in November and loved the property. The room we had , with a private rotemburo was very nice. It was much larger than most rooms in Japan, had excellent facilities, and the private outdoor bath was the real winner. We also enjoyed dining at the hotel. "Hotel provided a complimentary daily shuttle bus to the major attractions of Hakodate. Located within walking distance from Hakodate Station. Room was clean & new-looking. Pyjamas & quality toiletries were provided but no moisturiser. Hotel was very rigid with check-in time. We arrived a couple of hours early & the front desk wouldn’t entertain us - rather unsympathetic given the wintry conditions outside "
