"We stayed two nights in a Japanese room with private open-air bath. It was fantastic. The room was clean, modern and had everything we needed. Words cannot describe the private open air bath which we used as much as possible. We had dinner and breakfast included - these meals may be challenging for western tastes but if you're feeling adventurous, go for it! Unfortunately the public bath was closed when we visited so I cannot comment on this."

"Amazing hotel with stunning views of Lake Ashi. All-inclusive resort style, with Breakfast and dinner buffet included. Onsen with indoor and open air pools, all necessary toiletries provided, toothbrush/toothpaste, razors, q tips, combs, amazing skin care products! The Hakone Ropeway is just a 3-5 minute walk. It was a very relaxing and rejuvenating stay. Definitely recommend and would love to stay here again!"

"This hotel was a blast to stay at. Not situated close to the city, it still offered a lot for the location. Situated in the middle of the transit run, it will either bring you back to town or all the way to the gondola terminal, where you can either go on the volcano or take a ferri on the lake. I would strongly suggest to get the city pass for the transit to enjoy all the attraction for 1 price."

It is also located near Hakone-en, where there is snow sledding and an aquarium for family fun. There is also another ropeway heading up the mountain to a shrine and panoramic view. "Beautiful Mountain View, My cousin tried the Onsen and he loved it, restaurants are near by however most restaurants here close around 5 or 6 pm, hotel staff was very helpful in accommodating our needs and even calling us a taxi to the train station"

"This small hotel is cozy. The onsen is beautiful & very enjoyable because it’s private. You have the option of eating at two nearby restaurants with free transportation (included in your meal) . But everything is really far away and either requires 30 min of walking or a minimum of one hour on bus. "
