"Very nice place. Had everything we needed. Location was perfect for exploring erupting Volcanoes while still being close to several different beaches. The town of Naalehu was adorable and the food (Hana Hou and Punaluu Bake Shop) and people were wonderful. A nice change of pace from the resorts in the Kona area.Highly recommend a 4WD vehicle to get to allthe beaches, MaunaKea, etc."

"Great stay for exploring the southern part of Big Island. Our family loved the pool, well equipped kitchen, and location. I would definitely recommend staying here. Look in to booking through the rental agency as they do not complete anything in VRBO. This was the only downside as all the instructions and check in information was not easily found in the app and was emailed through a different address."

"I love the historic charm! No frills residence with all the kitchen gadgets for your group. Perfect place for groups and someone who likes to have a place to cook. Lots of options to relax on the many sofas or outdoor areas with a morning coffee. A symphony of chickens and local birds is always in the background. We fly into Hilo and pick up groceries on the drive. The piano and other instruments are available for a jam session or creative play. "

"We had a marvelous stay in Volcano, the house is spacious and wonderfully decorated. We loved the kitchen and back patio + private jungle backyard. We were disappointed the Jacuzzi was not working during our stay but Mindi made up for that (and few misses by the cleaning staff) with the gift of some amazing live orchids from her farm, that arrived after we got back home! Highly recommended!!"

"Quiet and extremely convenient to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The room was as advertised and had everything needed—plates, bowls, utensils, cleaning supplies, paper towels, small refrigerator, toaster and coffee pot. Comfortable bed and TV. Electric heater for cool mornings. Big windows to the garden area. The town had a nice laundromat and a few convenience stores w the basics. Hilo is only 40min away for bigger grocery stores and more restaurants. . "

"Anna was a perfect host. She was very welcoming and provided super helpful information, both about the easy check-in and tips for during our stay. The home was absolutely perfect for our family of five adults (us and our 3 adult kids in their 20s). Parking accommodated our two rental cars. Bathrooms and beds were just what we needed. Abundant towels. Full kitchen stocked with essentials and the grill worked great for cooking our meals (mahi mahi tacos for the win!). The large table on the patio...

It’s really rare to find a place that doesn’t have roosters. Superb kitchen. Lots of functional space. Covered parking. Did I say quiet? Easy access to south Kona region.
