"This place is wonderful and full of Italian character. David, our host, built the house and is very knowledgeable of the area. If you want a peaceful, private jungle getaway, this is the place for you. It is showing some age in places, but we prefer to stay at properties with character instead of the modern, sterile feel that many rentals have. There is no cheap, generic B&B art in this house. It is authentic and charming. Breakfasts on the deck were relaxing, as were evenings in the pool. "

"We arrived at the vrbo and realized we didn't have the entry code. I used whatsap to contact the host and she immediately called me with the entry code. The unit is plenty spacious. We had four adults fit comfortably. This is within walking distance of everything in San Ignacio. It is a great place to stay and the neighbors are friendly too!"

"Our familt of 4 had an excellent stay with Rose, Rod and family. Very personable hosts and Rose's cooking in amazing. The Cabin was very comfortable and was equipt with everything we needed and if we didn't we just had to ask. We'll definitely be back! "

"This property is very beautiful in an even more beautiful setting. Walter (property manager) was extremely responsive to requests and Jim the owner was quick to answer messages. Our entire family enjoyed this property. A few things to note the road getting there is extremely rough, when they tell you that 4 wheel drive is required that is not an overstatement. You will want to make sure you have everything you need before you head to the house because getting into town is not a small feat....

"The property was so beautiful with its pool and waterfall and jungle grounds which were immaculate. All the staff were so friendly and accommodating. The food was spectacular. We only got to spend one night but wish it could have been at least four. This is the best hotel to stay in all of Northern Belize! Highly recommend!"

"My 5 night stay at the West House was fantastic. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. They were happy to give recommendations or call ahead to set a dinner reservation for you.The room was spotless and the king bed was super comfortable. Water pressure and temperature were great in the shower. They offered a filtered water station out in the hall. This hotel is right on the outskirts of the little pedestrian business area, less than a 5 minute walk. This is as close to a 5 star experience as you can get in San Ignacio without staying at one of the resorts."

"Was doable for us as we were only staying for two nights. No fridge in room but had a communal fridge behind front desk and microwave. Had smart tv in room but couldn’t find any apps that worked but just signed in to my Netflix account. The staff was awesome and accommodating. Set in the middle of town where the market, restaurants, and nightlife. I would recommend. "

"A comfortable room, beautiful grounds and swimming pool, and helpful staff made our stay a relaxing escape. The lodge is conveniently located just on the edge of San Ignacio and is centrally located for tours of ruins and enjoyment of the natural beauty of the area.
