"If Heyfield has an oasis this is it! What a wonderful property they have at Motel 3858. It's on the edge of town, but there's a nice takeaway Italian place within easy walking distance and other options just a little further down the road in the town centre. We bought a bottle of wine from the bottlo, had a luxurious outdoor bath in our courtyard, then grabbed a takeaway Pizza to enjoy while watching a Netflix movie on the smart TV (using your own Netflix account). A really nice night in as part of a long road trip. Grant was an excellent host and nothing was too much trouble. Motel 3858 was a unique and surprising experience in the "middle of nowhere", or the "middle of everywhere" as the local marketing says. I can't rate it highly enough."

"Lovely stay - the pool was great and the motel within easy walking distance to a good range of eateries. The room was clean, well-appointed and dark for sleeping. Would have been good to have seats outside the room after a day of driving. Would definitely stay again."
