"This is a great property which is well equipped. Most rooms have air conditioning which worked well [it was 37 degres most days]. The pool is bug although there was only one working outside light which was under the waterline. Some of the vegetation in the pictures is no longer there. The beds were comfortable and the villa is a 5 minute drive to Moura where we found 3 supermarkets as well as shops in the town, free access to the castle and a well...

"This was a unique experience for us -- staying on a cork farm. The setting was stunning - the views amazing and you will truly get an authentic Alentejo experience. Note that is it not close to Evora, so keep that in mind. That said, I don't know that we've ever met a kinder and more welcoming host. Great for romantic getaway or for a family trip

"We loved our stay here - a one night get away from our 2 year old who we left with the grandparents. Though once we arrived I had wished he was with us, as there was such an incredible kids program on offer. Even though the place is clearly very kid/family friendly, it still has a beautiful inviting grown up feel, definitely something for everyone. The food was good, the indoor pool lovely, the grounds are peaceful. We'd consider coming back for a proper family holiday in the future."

Beautiful, peaceful stay

"This is a beautiful, peaceful hotel. The rooms are large, quiet, and comfortable, and the staff are wonderful. It would serve perfectly as a retreat and invites meditation. There are no TVs in the rooms, but there's a big TV in a common room. The building also houses artwork and small museums. It's a bit isolated. The restaurant wasn't open the night we were there, but we had a lovely dinner at a restaurant 700 meters away. You can also go to the castle for dinner. The hotel breakfast was wonderful. "
