Wakefields - an enchanting mountain view cottage

This beautiful self-contained cottage is situated on 20 acres in Mole Creek, Tasmania enjoys uninterrupted views of the Great Western Tiers and Gog Range.

Previously Twinkle Tree Cottage, 'Wakefields' is conveniently located close to many tourist attractions and has every comfort including a self-contained kitchen with SMEG appliances and a generously sized bathroom with underfloor heating.

Enjoy the views from the deck or relax with a large TV and free wifi with a cuppa.

Overlooking the heart of the Mersey Valley, this beautiful self-contained cottage is situated on 20 acres in Mole Creek, Tasmania.

Through every window, enjoy uninterrupted views of not only the Great Western Tiers, but also the Gog Range which towers above the Mersey River.

Guests are welcome to spend time in quiet contemplation of the magnificent views from the deck. After a well-deserved rest, you can enjoy a lie-in while admiring the mountain view from your pillow.

"Wakefields" (previously known as Twinkle Tree Cottage) is conveniently located close to many tourist attractions including the Mole Creek pub, famous for its Tassie Tiger Pies, bush walks, Trowunna Wildlife Park, and The Truffle Farm all close by. With Cradle Mountain 75 minute drive away, guests can spend many hours exploring while enjoying a central location to many attractions.

Just 20 minute drive from Deloraine where guests can enjoy the cafe culture and delicious bakeries, the cottage is an easy 55 minute drive to Devonport and Launceston, making for a great stay within driving distance of both the Spirit of Tasmania and Launceston Airport.

Our cottage has every comfort to make your stay memorable. The galley style kitchen has SMEG appliances, while the generously sized bathroom has a heated towel rail and underfloor heating.

Enjoy chilling out on the lounge using the large TV and free wifi. Help yourself to complimentary coffee and tea, and make the most of the kitchen to be independent and explore your inner chef! Ensure you bring supplies with you to make the most of the kitchen.

Immerse yourself in this boutique style cottage with a touch of luxury wrapped in peaceful surroundings.

As new owners would like to thank you for your understanding as we transition from Twinkle Tree Cottage to 'Wakefields'.

A shared driveway with a neighbour brings you to a secure gate. One you have entered the property, you will see the Stables and then your Cottage on your left.
The main house is private, and can be seen through the trees, while keeping your privacy assured. You are welcome to wander around your immediate area.

Peaceful and secluded, you are surrounded by farms and natural bush. Stunning views of the Great Western Tiers in the south, and the Gog range in the north. Many tourist attractions are in the area, and supplies can be easily found in the Mole Creek Supermarket, just 2 mins drive away.

'Wakefields' is 50 mins from Devonport and Launceston, and just 20mins from Deloraine. The easy drive is on good country roads with stunning scenery. From Deloraine, you pass through the small township of Chudleigh, where you can sample local honey. We are just 3 mins drive from the lovely Mole Creek township.

The main house is a working farm, so you may hear farm animals, but the sense of peace and tranquility is beyond description. A perfect getaway from the rigours of daily life.

As we are reasonably isolated, you will need to bring groceries and supplies. While you can take advantage of the Mole Creek Hotel or local cafes/supermarkets, these all have limited trading hours.

We are the converted
Quiet, peaceful private, modern, well equipped and comfy. All the above describe what we found and felt when we stayed at this cabin. We are used to motel rooms and this converted us to looking for more accommodation styles such as this. we are now converted to first looking for this style Accom. Thank you, Samantha,

Mole Creek
A lovely clean place to stay. A bit surprised the owner didn’t welcome us as they live on the property. We were asked not to approach the animals (I’m guessing for safety reasons) An acreage but restricted access. gravel driveway about 300m from the road. Older travellers would find it difficult to take the bins to the roadside. Lovely smeg appliances but oven/microwave not very user friendly. Plenty of communication from the owner by msg. Given the area of the property it would have been nice to be able to take up some good walks and interact a bit more with the wildlife. Great views all around,

We absolutely loved our stay in Mole Creek. No one around but the stars and the bunny rabbits. The house was perfect! Lots of space, great appliances and a lovely big window in the bedroom to make sure you wake up to the beautiful view. We loved our stay and will definitely be back.
