"This was our favorite part of a 2 week Japan trip. While the onsen’s were great, and amenities were fantastic, my favorite was the location and wilderness. Very remote, with lots and long “2 way road but 1car space” roads before you make it to the hotel which has parking for about 10 guest cars. 10/10!"

"We stayed at Awaikeda ekimae-shop as we planned to do rafting at beautiful Yoshino river. We stayed at Awaikeda honmachi which is a private house but ekimae-shop has 5 rooms and toilet and showers are all shared. The place is basic but clean. We were 6 of us, sleeping on futon on tatami floor in one room. Am glad that our children experienced a proper Japanese sleeping style!"

"受付は別。全てタブレットに記入式。住所も全て入力が少し面倒でした。リフォームしてまもないようで設備は全て新品。1階はとても涼しいのですが、2階の廊下はとても暑かったです。部屋の窓が隣の壁で残念でした。二段ベッド。マットレスが薄すぎました。ちょっと建物の建材のにおい臭があり、窓が開けられなかったので閉塞感がありました。シャワーは水圧、水量共にとても良かったです。"

"Loved my stay here. The location was great, just a short walk to the main vine bridge in Iya Valley. But it's also secluded enough to really feel the remoteness of Iya Valley. My room was wonderful, very well appointed and clean. The high point was the staff. They were all wonderful and kind, and went above and beyond during my stay. They even drove me to the bus stop in the morning so that I wouldn't have to walk with my suitcase. I would absolutely stay here again."

"There is nothing unique about this Hotel. The owner has to renovate this establishment. It’s not a place for humans. It’s totally runned down. The car bets are stained all over the place. The lobby is dirty, the sofas are stained, you cannot sit on them. In the rooms the curtains are stained, torn, no blinds. The condition of every furniture is bad, needs fixing or get new. The food is served in a old people home dyining room. Looks like the fifties, or a senatorium in the former USSR. The food...

"Ten-ippou hut was spacious, clean, and beautiful. Though we only stayed a night, it is well-eppuippdd for long stays, given you pick up groceries prior to arriving. Acessibility to the general area is a bit of a challenge. The kitchen has all necessities plus more. The bath is good-sized with all toiletry basics, laundry space with separate toilet/bidet. "This property is right by a large shopping area filled with dining areas and shops making it a good location for visitors. We booked a smoking room by accident so the room did smell like smoke but that was on us. Staff was very helpful and accommodating for foreigners and they also offer free breakfast from 6-9am. "

安くて立地の良い普通のホテル

"5泊、1人で利用した。1人旅行客には十分なサイズのお部屋と、立地がとてもよかった。ホテル自体は綺麗で問題なく過ごせた。朝食は8時半頃に行くとほとんど残っていないので、翌日以降、7時から7時半に行くようにした。お部屋のシャワーカーテンにカビが付いていて、定期的に掃除していただけたらなおよかった。夜、ラウンジで仕事をしているときに、12時を超えたあたりで消灯があり、せめて消灯前に声掛けくらいしてもらえたら嬉しかった。スタッフは人がラウンジにいることを知っているはず。"

Appreciated amenities and service.

"The amenities and front desk service make this hotel. The public bath, sauna, free snacks, coffee/tea etc. The front desk helped (often in English) with taxis, directions, recommendations and luggage forwarding to another hotel. The room was very small, but manageable."

Great location and a nice hotel room in Takamatsu.

"Brilliant location, has convenient parking spaces (1,200 yen per night - more expensive than the other nearby street parking but we wanted to pay extra to have our rental car within the hotel parking). Breakfast was plentiful - quite busy but not too hectic. Room lovely. Location brilliant - close to one of the main stations of Takamatsu."
