"The hotel is located within easy walking access to restaurants and stores. I stayed for three weeks and it suited my needs. Rooms are small, but adequately equipped. There was no coffee maker in my room until two days before checkout when one showed up unrequested, which I found odd. The buffet breakfast is over-priced for what is available around the area. "It was a great hotel with best views in Porto. Clean room, great service, nice food. Welcome drink during check in. On the negative side: hotel didn't congratulate me on my birthday. It could be a small gesture like bottle of wine in the room or even a card. Absolutely nothing. During last 10 years travelling and staying in different hotels around the world it was my first birthday when hotel didn't pay attention to me on my birthday...."

"We Loved our stay at the Pestana Vintage Porto Hotel! The location right along the Douro River was incredible; nothing beat standing on our balcony and staring at the Dom Luis Bridge and all of the vineyards in Gaia across the river. The food and staff were wonderful as well. I would highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to book our next trip back!"

"Property had an industrial boutique feel. Staff were lovely, room was very clean and comfortable. Beds were great! Quirky decor and excellent bathroom. Had a very early checkout so got a shock with cold shower. Rang reception and they switched on the hot water. Would have been good to have known to request this in advance. Breakfast was fresh & plentiful."
