If you’ve been looking for the perfect peaceful retreat in Southeast Louisiana, you’ve found it! Close enough to both New Orleans and Baton Rouge to easily make a day trip, this property is the perfect way to explore Louisiana without staying in the big city. This is a unique, exclusive experience, as you can only access the island by golf cart or boat. Get away from it all, slow down, and detach all while enjoying the beautiful Cajun scenery of the bayou. Park your car, hop in your provided golf cart, and cross the 2 bridges over the bayou into a Cajun wonderland.
This beautiful 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath home sleeps 8, with 1 queen and 1 king bedroom plus a loft that can sleep 4 in 2 full-size beds. The loft is accessible via ladder only, so please use caution. There is indoor and outdoor dining, as well as a screened porch where you can enjoy the view when weather is less than ideal. You will also enjoy access to the community pool that is only a short walk away.
Extend your experience onto the private boat dock and unwind while you enjoy the outdoor kitchen, complete with grill and wine fridge, while sipping on a drink at the bar right on the water. There is even a crows nest where you can experience bayou life to its fullest while viewing boats and wildlife from the highest point on the island.
Bring your boats and jet skis too! You can park your boat in one of two boat slips on the property and park up to 2 jet skis right off the deck. Pick up some bait from the locally owned bait shop at the entrance of the island and find out why this area is known as the sportsman’s paradise. We do recommend that you have a LA fishing license. Life jackets are NOT provided, so please bring your own, use extreme caution while on the deck (especially with small children), and follow all boating and safety regulations. We are not responsible for any falls off the dock or bulkhead. Interested in boat rentals or a private boating tour of the area? We can help with that too!
If you want to venture out there are many wonderful restaurants and local attractions we will provide information for on and off the water.
