Charming lake side retreat great for family time or a romantic getaway!

This beautiful home boasts over 2400 square feet of living space. It has four bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathooms. It is situated on beautiful Otisco Lake and less than twenty minutes away from Skaneateles and Destiny Mall USA.
Drive up to hike the nearby 90 foot tall Carpenter's waterfall near Skaneateles or Tinker Falls in Tully NY. Explore the Village of Skaneateles' unique shops, boutiques and world class restaurants. Take the 5/20 drive while exploring the wine country, rolling hills and the Finger Lakes Region of beautiful Upstate New York. Near us is 1911 apple orchard, song mountain ski resort and several golf courses.

The Space:
On the main level there is an open floor plan with a spacious living area, modern kitchen with granite counters and dining room seating for (8). The second level has a Master bedroom with on suite jacuzzi bathtub and queen bed, guests bedrooms with queen bed. Fully furnished with linens, livingroom and kitchen ammenities. Pamper yourself with the luxuries of a home theater, hot tub, downstairs sauna and internet service. Catch up on some reading on the wrap around deck, or just veg in our covered hot tub and open porch overlooking the lake.
There is a dock, fire pit, and over 80 feet of private lakefront for you to enjoy! If you brought your fishing gear - catch some fish off the dock!

The lake is not swim-ready until mid-June unless you are a very hardy soul! Sit on the front deck and you may see our resident eagles. The sunsets from the deck are absolutely magnificent!
Rent a party boat from the local marina to tool around our beautiful lake and motor up to "lakeside vista" and enjoy one of our local eateries. You can bring your own boat and dock at the marina nearby.

Amazing home right on the Lake, we had 6 of us stay for my daughters wedding the house was perfect. I just wish we had more time to enjoy the hot tub and game room. We are planning on coming back when our schedule is a little less hectic.

Quick Family Getaway
The house and hosts were amazing. The hosts allowed us to change our dates when we experienced an unplanned family event. The house was beautifully decorated.When a snowstorm arrived, we decided to cancel our day trip and took advantage of the basement/game room. When we were not playing pool or board games, we were in the hot tub or watching movies in the theatre style seats.

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely waterfront home with gorgeous windows letting in lots of natural light. The porch is beautiful and peaceful. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. The lower floor is everything a person could want for family entertainment and the house was stocked with toys that our children enjoyed.

This was our first family vacation in years and it was great! The house was exactly as described, spacious, well-appointed, well taken care of and had everything we could ever need and then some. The lake view (and access) were just incredible and the porch swing was a favorite for everyone. This was our second year here which tells you we like this house a lot. Close to one of the best golf courses in New York. Well maintained and prime location right on the water. Plenty to do in good and bad weather. Campground store and boat rental nearby (500 feet). Angela is very responsive to any questions that come up. No hesitation to rate this house 5 stars!

So Peaceful!
What a great time was had!! This house literally had everything!! We ate ever meal that we had on the deck over looking lake. Enjoyed movies on the big screen with reclining seats. The house was clean and well stocked. We spent most of the days either in the lake, sitting by the lake, or on the patio or deck overlooking the lake:). The hot tub was super relaxing also. Short ride to Skaneateles, great town, shops, restaurants, and waterfront to enjoy. I highly recommend a trip to Beak and Skiff Apple Hill Campus and 1911 Tasting Room!! So beautiful there.

Right on the lake, perfect for relaxing or exploring the finger lakes region
On the eastern bank of the easternmost of the finger lakes, this property is close enough to both Syracuse and Skeneatles if one wants an evening out. There are decks on each level with an unobstructed view of the lake and direct access to it from the lowest level. The kitchen is very well-appointed with lots of condiments and spices to supplement your stock. There is even a home theater in the basement, and a sauna. The one quibble I had was that it could do with some comfortable chairs indoors for people to sprawl and read a book, instead of the large formal dining table. However, there is plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the lake view.

Beautiful Property
We stayed at this beautiful home with our adult children and 8 month old grandson for a family vacation. The home is spacious, beds were comfortable, and kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for preparing our own meals. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor space with room for those who wanted to be in the sun and those who preferred to stay in the shade. The large upper deck was enjoyed by all, and the composite deck material and railings provided a safe space for the baby to crawl around and play. We brought kayaks and enjoyed the lake, played lawn games in the grassy area, and enjoyed the fire pit at night. The hosts were very kind and responsive to any questions we had before, as well as during, our stay. We will visit again!

charming lakeside getaway
Spent the weekend for our 30th anniversary with another couple that are great friends. First time using Vrbo, so Angela was quickly responsive to any questions we had. I presume the last renters didn't leave it as how they found it because we had to clean the stove, outside grill, and a few other things before we could use them. With exploring nearby Skaneateles and 1911 and some other places, we ran out of time and didn't get to even try the jacuzzi as we had planned. We couldn't get the bowling machine to work, but the pool table and cinema room did get some use. It is a nice area and easy to get to wherever you want to go. We would stay here again.

Gorgeous lake house
Absolutely stunning house. Very well decorated. Extremely comfortable beds. The 3rd floor is spacious. The bottom floor is fabulous for entrainment. Loved watching football in the cinema area. Played pool, arcade games, darts. The Christmas tree was picture perfect! Kitchen very well stocked. Plenty of space for everyone. Great dining room table for dinners and a good puzzle. Great views off the balconies. Camp store across the street convenient. Close to adorable small towns.Hosts were excellent communicators. We absolutely adored this house! Stunning in so many ways. What a Fabulous Find!
What a fabulous find - just wish we had found it sooner!!! We spent the weekend of our son’s graduation from Syracuse University here, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! A mere 25 minute drive from the craziness of the crowds and chaos of downtown, and we were at our beautiful lakefront retreat. Complete with everything we could dream of…views, patios, balconies, fire pit, outdoor kitchen, cozy nooks, indoor theater, hot tub, sauna, beautiful decor, comfy beds, luxurious bathrooms and kitchen, a “party” basement for those that could need it, a paddle boat, pristine, quiet…what more could one want?! We are only sad we didn’t discover it Freshman year instead, as it would have been the perfect place to spend a weekend, any season, to visit our college student and give him a break from campus life as well!

Amazing views
The house was really amazing. We spent the majority of the time outside, in the lake floating around and on the dock fishing. There is a great second floor deck to eat all your meals and hang out on as well. We were able to turn the couch around to face the water so we could enjoy sunsets over the water. It was a really beautiful, peaceful and quiet area, amazing place to relax and recharge. The only note I would make is one of the postings here says sleeps 8 because there is a air mattress, but the air mattress doesn’t fit in the 4th bedroom (gym room) so I would recommend no more than 3 beds needed for your stay. This is NOT a negative for the house, just a note for people looking for more than 3 beds.

Our best all time NY rental
Property Review 1549 Otisco Valley Road The lodging gets an A+ It is a beautiful house on Otisco Lake. One of the best houses we’ve ever rented in NY. Spacious and clean with many amenities. The view of the lake is second to none in the Finger Lakes region. The owner was very responsive and unobtrusive to quickly fix an electronics problem we encountered. However there is one problem with this property. There is no easy access to the lake. The waterfront gets a lesser grade. You can not easily enter the water from the dock, as you cannot jump or dive into the lake due to the rocks. The owner did provide signage to note this. There is no ladder from the dock into the lake. There are no stairs from the shoreline into the lake. I tried lowering myself into the lake from what is left of their brick retaining wall but it is under repair at this time. Overall GREAT!
