"First time staying with as a family of 3 with a young toddler. Half board included breakfast and dinner which was different for the 2 nights we stayed. Great rooms, clean and spacious. Hotel exterior was also very peaceful and nice. Staff were very friendly and spoke good English. Superb service. Will be back again!"

"The room is a bit dated but overall still a pleasant stay. Room is spacious with a good view of Mt Aso. Dinner included is very so-so, breakfast is better. Public bath is fantastics with several onsen and an outdoor onsen. Good family hotel."

"This is an amazing property and lovely. Property offers pick-up and sending service from near bus station or train station but you will need to call to the property and make a booking (or just call them when you arrive). Property provide amazing dinner and breakfast which is traditional Japanese style. Both Public and private bath places are amazing with relaxing atmosphere. "The photos don't do this ryokan justice. We had a semi-western room and it was very large (even compared to other ryokans) - so big it even has a little corridor. Room and overall facilities were quite modern. Dinner and breakfast was excellent. Private onsens require booking and a 1000JPY fee which is ok but half board for my 2 year old child at 5500JPY was quite steep considering what they served (and options are limited given the amount of raw food for dinner). "
