"Unfortunately this unit has mice. They interrupted our dinner together running through the kitchen, under the dining room table and to the couch.. when we retreated upstairs I found the mice must have been in the bed as I had a terrible skin reaction and couldn't stop itching through the remainder of the night. Not sure how well I did on my job interview the next morning. So far no sign of a refund. Stay away from this place."

"Lovely, cozy loft with everything you need! The owner has thought of everything. I almost don’t want to say what a great spot this is because I want it to be available next time we need it!! Checking in and out was easy and was one of the best places we’ve stayed. We’ll be back for sure!"

"Check in was easy&very welcoming, including pet treats, toys&poop bags.I loved that they included dog towels for wet dogs&muddy paws.This was a brief stay on our way back home from a long road trip.With a bit more attention to detail this property could be even better.Couch&chairs could use a deep steam cleaning.They held a little dander odor&kitchen seats had stains. "My wife and I wanted a nice place to stay with a full kitchen and a "non-public" hottub. This townhome exceeded our expectations. The two-person jetted tub in the Master bedroom with a fireplace (there's a bonus fireplace on the lower level in the family room as well) was so welcome during one of the coldest weekends of the year. The below-zero wind chills kept us from hiking the lovely parks near here, but our hostess provided us with fun games to play, books to read, a comfortable bed, and...

"A friend and I planned a weekend of outdoor winter hiking. This was a great place to make home base. Lots of space, clean, plenty of places to eat nearby, hot water, good shower pressure, tv reception, large table, chairs on small patio, washer and dryer. We didn’t need to use all of it, but if we had a longer stay or came with our family this would accommodate everyone. "

"Overall great space. Definitely met our needs. Loved having coffee pods available. Loved being in downtown LaSalle.Had to do some deep cleaning of dishwasher and stove heating drawer. Dishwasher full of scale and needed a lot of work to clean before use. Stove drawer had obvious crumbs and grease. Front bedroom bathroom faucet did not work. Spout full of water scale and impeded faucet flow. Suggest deep cleaning every3 months. But loved the space and ambiance."

My only disappointment was I wanted a hotel with a pool for my kids but it was broke however we played at an indoor water park near there for the day. Great stay and highly recommended if you are in the area and want to explore Starved Rock area."

Amazing place!

"My wife and I wanted a nice place to stay with a full kitchen and a "non-public" hottub. This townhome exceeded our expectations. The two-person jetted tub in the Master bedroom with a fireplace (there's a bonus fireplace on the lower level in the family room as well) was so welcome during one of the coldest weekends of the year. The below-zero wind chills kept us from hiking the lovely parks near here, but our hostess provided us with fun games to play, books to read, a comfortable bed, and absolutely SPOTLESS accommodations. We'd recommend booking here, and we will plan on doing so again as well."

Super 8 by Wyndham Peru Starved Rock State Park

Good for the money

"Not bad for the money. The rooms heater is built into the air conditioner which was a first for me. Apon arrival I was greeted by friendly staff and was offered an upgrade to a king for only $5 more, naturally I took it. First room was nice but the plunger to the shower was rusted half open so I switched rooms. Second room was good but had its flaws. Carpets seemed very old with cigarette burns. The bed was very nice and comfortable and CLEAN!! The shower, however, seemed to have been thrown together in a haste. No caluk in the joints of the back board and the shower head was unattached to the stall leaving a hole for moisture to fet inside of. The cieling in the bathroom had water damage but wasnt posing any risk of health concerns at the time. Over all I enjoyed my stay"
