"The reason to stay here is that the location is fantastic. The town of Kinsale is a beautiful place for a seaside vacation. The accommodation itself was a little run down and dirty but for the continence of being so close to the centre of town it was worth it. Not an accessible stay, lots of stairs for anyone who has mobility issues."

"Unique to the property was skeleton key to open and lock your room. Was great walkability to the whole town including pubs for dinner, fresh produce stores and pharmacy, not to mention a couple of different off licenses. Would recommend The Blue Haven for dinner - the seafood chowder was the best I've ever had. The bed was pretty firm though so we both woke up sore. Breakfast tables weren't necessarily set-up to accommodate all the guests so we happily invited an American couple to join us. Was...

"I have stayed at both the cottage and main house before. Minor issue with wifi this time but that was quickly rectified. The unseasonably cold weather during the first few days of our stay made the cottage very chilly until heat was turned on but that's Irish weather. Once weather returned to seasonal norms, there was no further problem. Very comfortable for two people but would be a stretch for any more. Excellent value."

"Lovely historic farmhouse but still updated with all the modern amenities you'd want. The kitchen in particular is in excellent condition and well stocked. Appreciated that there was even breakfast options like cereals out. "This property was perfect! We were a group of 5, so we utilized the apart hotel. It was spacious and clean, allowed us to have communal space and private sleeping. Dining at the restaurant was fantastic. Jason was our server and he was amazing. Food was great, only a short 10 min walk to the Muckross Abbey and a breath taking lake. Hotel views bolstered mountains in the morning. Wonderful staff, we did not have time to utilize the spa but it looked beautiful. "

"River Lee has a great view of the river and parts of Cork city centre. The rooms are average but staff and restaurant are amazing. From check-in to check-out, the team makes you feel like family. Special thanks to Dave and Emma for help in booking a table during peak holiday season! "

(Much) Better Than Your Average Airport Hotel

"The hotel isn't far from the airport, but as the weather was being very Irish at midnight, the hotel sent their shuttle which appeared within 5 minutes. Night reception was good, got me a Guiness even though it was after midnight, The room was warm and comfortable, albeit with a small bathroom with no space to unpack your toiletries. TV great, bed comfortable room spacious. Breakfast was excellent. Aside from the friendly service, what separates this from other airport hotels is that the general ambience is one of a modern country hotel, with Chesterfields near reception (the washrooms are fantastic), cosy bars and lots of books lying around. Overall, excellent."
