"Only stayed for three nights, but thought it was a lovely place. The room decor is very modern/contemporary, which is what I like. Bed and bedding was comfortable, but was only a small double bed, presumably because the room was quite small. We will stay again , but will book a bigger room next time."

"The hotel is located within some outstanding scenery with Loch Alvie literally on your doorstep. We were all made to feel welcome, including Dizzy the dog , and the chefs produced some delicious food as we sat near a blazing log fire. Room and bathroom were very clean and well appointed. The only grumble we would have is that we were charged for our dog's stay on a nightly basis, to cover additional cleaning, as opposed to per visit, you would only clean the room once even after 2 nights stay."

"This is a Beautiful old 120 year old hotel with all of its charm and its great that its running Most get gutted out and turned into super expensive and exclusive rooms without any thought to the community Theres not many treasures like this left these days I bet the locals are so glad of that too Its a lovely friendly place with very friendly staff and excellent meals I wish you all the best 👍"

"Had a lovely 2 night stay in the Cairngorm Suite with my husband and 2 kids (5years & 4 months old). Firstly the location was perfect and in walking distance to countless pubs, restaurants, shops etc. The room itself was beautiful and the bedroom especially was incredibly spacious. The beds were really comfortable and the bedding/duvets etc all felt really good quality. Bathroom was spotless, the shower wasnt very powerful but thats being pernickety. Plenty of storage space throughout the suite...

"Tomintoul is a lovely little village in the highlands. The hosts are terrific, breakfast was lovely, and the bed was comfortable. We'd definitely go back!"

"The peace & quiet here was amazing! Other guests were respectful & the only noise in the morning was the ducks looking for food. Our lodge was dated but comfortable. There were a few minor issues but nothing that affected our stay. So in summary the accommodation is not luxurious but the location & setting are wonderful if it’s a quiet break you are looking for. "I stayed here for a 2 day conference in Boat of Garten and was within a 5 minute walk of the venue. Great comms from the hosts and place was perfectly presented and very comfortable; you might want to place another comment book in there as the existing one is full although it was fun reading through people's thoughts and and suggestions and you have clearly followed up on these. If i'm back this way, it would be the first place i book. Thanks Again. Breakfast options were a nice touch, thankyou...

"The rooms are older, the soundproofing is worse, the lift is still broken, but overall it's more comfortable and the restaurant is nice with lots of breakfast options."
