"A lovely, quiet hotel with a very welcoming owner! There was not much choice of restaurants close by- but we ate at the hotel and it was very good. Fish soup recommended! The room was comfortable and the bed even more so. The secure parking was a bonus. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. "

"What an unexpected treasure Château de La Ballue. I had booked this stay while touring the Normandy beach landings for just one night. What a shame we were only there for such a brief time. The home is charming and beautiful. The room was perfection and the grounds were such a surprise. I had no idea they were world class manicured gardens complete with a labyrinth! "What a beautiful place to stay, the property is set in a lovely idyllic setting surrounded by countryside. The rooms were lovely and comfortable and the staff were absolutely excellent and super friendly. The breakfast was lovely too. This is by far the nicest place we have stayed at on our motorbike trip around France. If you book here you will not be disappointed. 5 Stars."

"Historic building made into a charming hotel. I stayed in one of the new, renovated rooms but most of the hotel is an old and cozy building. Staff are bilingual, rooms are clean, and it’s in a good location in town. I hope to stay there again one day!"
