Property is well located on the strip. The up escalator was not operating which made getting into the resort a bit problematic because the elevators took forever. The biggest down side to this hotel is the excessive smoke on the gaming floor. Not sure if their ventilation system is outdated, but this was the worst hotel for smoke. Other than that, it was fine, no complaints. Staff were friendly and helpful.

There was blood spatter on the blanket, room service only came in once to “clean” they only restocked the rest of the stay. They advertise for a certain room but we got a completely different layout and room entirely that was not listed in the options.

I booked 2 rooms and when we arrived one of the rooms it felt like the heater was on all day long. Called customer service and someone was sent within the hour. Late at night the rooms ac went out again. We were moved to another room. On the other room there was an open beer left in the fridge and there was popcorn on the floor. Housekeeping came to came to clean up within the hour. Was not impressed with this property.

Upon check in, the room we had reserved was not available however, we were moved the next day. The Horseshoe is very dated and smelled like an old bar. The connecting casino, Paris, did not have the odor like the Horseshoe. Paying a resort fee you would expect fluffy, thick towels that a "resort" typically has. These were threadbare. I should have checked amenities more closely. No coffee maker in the room. The only pros for The Horseshoe are the rooms are very spacious and the Monorail is connected to it.
