"Huset ligger fantastisk med det forbehold, at naboen er en campingplads og en bar med livemusik. Det betyder, at der er en del støj hver aften til efter midnat. Nu havde vi valgt at betale mere for denne villa for at undgå larm, og derfor var det ekstra ærgerligt. Udover det, så ligger huset naturskønt og tilpas centralt på Koh Chang. Gode værelser med havudsigt (på nær 2). Alt er en lille smule slidt og skævt, og rengøringen kunne også godt være grundigere. Der er i øvrigt fortsat rust i vandet...

"Family of five had a wonderful stay at this superb villa on this quiet development with pool and garden leading to private beach. Resort was very quiet when we went (late August) so we had the run of the place. Fun 9 hole 'pitch and putt' golf course and easy access to most of the island."

"Pen was phenomenal. English-speaking and very helpful getting taxis and answering questions. Pen made our stay wonderful. This is a beautiful resort in the middle of nowhere, which was just the getaway we were looking for. We did get a taxi to White Sand Beach one day and I was glad we didn’t stay there because it was too touristy. At night at Parama, all you can hear are birds and frogs. Paradise. "

"Lonely Beach, Koh Chang is an interesting part of the island. If you are looking for budget accommodations and a safe and comfortable place to stay check out Carpe Diem. If you like to party, even better as around the corner it is party central - that means there will be noise. Luckily the room comes equipped with ear plugs. 3 prong plugs so easy to charge stuff up. I did like the lock up boxes in the room. Decent wifi. The pool is nice for a quick dip, it has sun shades. The bed was comfortable. We didn't need the A/C but we did use the fan. I like the added touch of the elephant artwork on the walls. The bathrooms is like a retro throw back - very random tile work. Aussie touch - check out the nail hammering table. If you are looking for high end, charming this isn't for you. Cheap and cheerful. Decent coffee. Complimentary filtered water. There's kinda of a kitchen area with a fridge - a bit random. But I'm sure you can figure it out. The palm trees on one side of the pool are nice. "

Idyllic resort with a private tropical island feel

"We had a wonderful 5 days at The Tropical. Since it’s located at the end of a beach there were fewer people on our beach yet it was close enough to walk to other restaurants and the Bangbao area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even helped us book a private taxi back to Bangkok at half the price other resorts were offering. While we found our bungalow comfortable, if you want a pristine, modern room you might be disappointed. There were a few ants in the bathroom due to the thatched roof. As long as you keep food out of the bedroom, the ants pretty much stayed in the bathroom. As long as you don’t mind a few ants, it’s well worth it for the peaceful surroundings, the friendly staff and the very good restaurant. With only 27 bungalows you were guaranteed a lounge chair and room to spread out instead of sitting in a crowd of people. The swimming wasn’t the best in front of the hotel due to underwater rocks but if you just walk down the beach a little ways it was fine. If you’re looking for a peaceful slice of paradise, I recommend The Tropical. "
