The hosts were lovely, they made us feel very welcome and checked we had everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent and the room was very comfortable. It was great to stay somewhere that was such a short walk from the high street and harbour in Kirkwall, as this made it easy to find places for dinner. Being based in Kirkwall also meant other mainland locations could be easily reached with a short drive.

Absolutely lovely host really welcoming and friendly. We stayed in the converted garage and it was beautiful with all mod cons and an enormous TV. We would highly recommend staying here when visiting Orkney. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Debbie was an excellent host. We arrived late at night from the ferry and nothing was any trouble. The bed room and breakfast room were spotless and the breakfasts were excellent with everything freshly cooked to order. We stayed for 5 nights and would highly recommend Heatherlea.

Lovely owner, warm welcome, clean, modern room with netflix! Plentiful tea caddy with all the extras you'd expect and more. Small touches made a big differences, robes, spare pillows and blankets in the room, cold water and milk ready for us in a fridge in our room. Brunch was prepared for us to take away as we had an early check out on our last day! Would definately reccomend staying here for your base on mainland Orkney!

This has to be the best B&B ever. Rooms are fab with dressing room as well as your en-suite plus very comfy beds. Great attention to detail in the bedrooms, with a huge selection of teas, coffees and biscuits as well as some fudge.The breakfasts are amazing with plenty of choice. Our hosts were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend Heatherlea B&B

We arrived late and were greeted with a friendly welcome . We were shown to our room without fuss or drama and shown all the facilities .
