「Very friendly service. There was a pool onsite to cool off in and swimming towels were provided. The room was adequate with a small fridge, tea/coffee maker, microwave and cutlery and crockery. The room layout was interesting and unique. Good value for money.」

「Terrible experience at this hotel, i had booked a room with a river view, upon my arrival I was allocated a cube room, with no window and a partitioned balcony. I queried this and noticed that they gave my room to their frequent guest and I had to suffer as am not a regular at the property. I was later given a room which had a small window still not the room I had booked and paid for. Just when i though I had all the terrible experience the dinner was even worse i could not swallow their wings...

「Rooms full of mosquitoes but no repellent or mosquitoe nets yet the hotel is besides a river, smelly rooms something wrong with the plumbing, noise from the road, fake lawn instead of carpets inside the rooms, fake chandeliers, doors that do not lock properly, waiting for 2 hours before being checked in. The is no 24 hour reception there. The one who does the checking in does not stay at that hotel, you will have to wait till she comes to check you in. Had this other occupant saying that that...

「friendly efficient check in, nice room with A/C already working well. comfy bed, fridge & tea& coffee making facilities. only complaint was restaurant closes at 15.00 on Sundays (I was pre warned of this but it was still a bit of a pain!). would still stay there in future (but not on Sunday!)」

「Have stayed in Upington several times before but first time we have stayed at Browns Manor. Fully deserves 4 star rating. A green oasis in the Kalahari - massive koi carp a reap bonus. Staff really kind and helpful. Nice clean pool with shaded area and loungers. Good quality breakfast included.」

「Stayed at Lions Rest several times before. Convenient place to stay when arriving in Upington to go to Kalahari. Family run - very friendly. Fixtures and fittings are getting a bit 'tired' and in need of refreshing.」
