"I stayed from 11 days for WWII Operation Market Garden 80th Anniversary Events. The locaiton was perfect as east drive to all the areas with the A50 right there. The location is set in peaceful wooded area, nice hiking trails. It is elegant and classy. My room was terrific with a first floor patio door. It was so nice to open that door when back from long day of sigh seeing and sit outside. The resturaunt has indoor and outdoor dining areas that are quite popular. Food was excellent. ...

"Our stay was 9 days. Property was clean. Room was uncomfortably cold—about 62 degrees F most of our stay. I questioned several staff who said they would send someone to look at it but when I mentioned the issue to front desk staff, the said “yeah, the heat has been out in the entire complex for over a week. That’s why we have heaters on our desk!” Staff were a mix of hospitable and cranky. Main issue was upon leaving we were told we could settle our closing bill and if no one was at the front...

"Taurus is in a great location. It has friendly and really helpful staff. And.....it has a Fire Alarm! The alarm in my room went off at 3.00am and I struggled to get back to sleep after because there was absolutely noone around to say whetyher or not it was a false alarm for certain. The alarm woke at least one other guest but he didnt get out of bed! "

"Short but very comfortable stay . Would have loved to have walked from the grounds into neighboring countryside and hired bikes for the cycle paths- but weather put that idea out the window. "Excellent, visited this hotel as in February 9th 1945 my grandfather was outside here with the the 61st Highland Anti Tank Regiment. Great history in the area and the hotel. We did have a little difficulty during dinner with language barrier mixing our main courses and part of our order was not given however we received excellent help for an English speaking waiter and the situtwas rectified."

"Booked the hotel for a business trip. Had the worst night ever as since 4 in de morning the fire alarm kept going off every 20-60 minutes this lasted untill at least 8:00 this. After I check at the reception and the staff could not tell me when this would be fixed i decided to check out after one night instead of the planned 3. "I traveled here back in 2023 and my stay at Haarhuis was quite lovely, albeit smaller rooms than I'm used to, but such is the European/Netherlands way (they all have smaller rooms.) I recently traveled back here (2024) for Qlimax (a music event) and since I had a great experience the last time, I figured I would book at Haarhuis again. Now, let me say that Haarhuis is a bit pricier, but that's to be expected as this carries itself as a luxury hotel and does a great job at such. The rooms are fantastic and well designed in an upscale luxury manner, the breakfast/restaurant is quaint and nice, the staff are beyond excellent, and the decor is just wonderful. What surprised me most is that I was BLOWN away with my recent room, which I did not think was possible. This time I arrived to get a room on the first floor (123) and was pleasantly surprised to see I not only had a roof deck with 2 pool lounge chairs, but I had a traditional SAUNA that could fit 2-4 people. It was a lovely surprise and worked excellent. Everytime I come here, they constantly out perform themselves. I can't say enough good things about Haarhuis, especially as it's a short walk across the street to Arnhem Centraal, so getting anywhere from the hotel is extremely easy. If you love sushi, Silk directly across the street is amazing as well, but just make sure you book reservation early on. Tot Ziens Haarhuis! See you next year!"

"Sometimes a hotel exceeds expectation. I was staying one night as part of a business trip. To find the hotel in a wood was a pleasant surprise. The Staff are great, Te Rooms very comfortable and the restaurant offers excellent meals at good value. I only wish I had more time to enjoy the hotel and its grounds. Next time "

Isolated but enjoyable hotel

"Very nice hotel. Looks a little dated on the outside, but very nice inside, with many renovations completed. The bed was small however comfortable. Best part was the heating which worked very well, helping me recover from being under the weather for a few days. Enjoyed a great dinner at their restaurant, very nice atmosphere. And much praise to the front desk staff who were so helpful - thank you. Easy to reach by bus number 8 from Nijmegen central station. Overall, very enjoyable."
