I was hoping the bar would be a gathering spot for all the guests, but I never saw it open (appears to be by reservation?) That we were encouraged to return by 9 PM was also a bit onerous (given it is 30 minutes from the city centre), but an understandable part of the guesthouse experience."

"Great location for Nara main attractions. Easy to find restaurants, next to a market, short walk to Nara Park. The place is new, easy to find and easy to use in general. Few things could be improved. Check in instructions were sent in Japanese only and we needed some codes to access the place so it wasn’t straight forward. "Hotel is unmanned with no lobby attendant. Everything is done virtually through a video concierge in the lobby. When giving the room code it wasnt the safest as they put it on the screen and others can see your detailed information on at check in if you dont block the screen from others. Overall very spacious layout with tons of room for Tokyo and it was clean. About 10 mins walk to Dotonbori or the subway. Heating/AC unit is a bit hard to get setup properly but once its set its good."
