The master bedroom, in vintage Mexican décor, has a deluxe queen-size bed, ceiling fan and a sliding glass door onto the expansive covered patio. The master bathroom has a beautiful Talavera tiled vanity, walk-in shower and jetted tub to soothe those weary muscles after a day of hiking. Choose the Cowgirl room with its antique décor, two twin beds, ceiling fan, or enjoy the Cowboy room’s old Western décor, queen bed, ceiling fan, and sliding glass door onto the patio. The guest bathroom has a full shower and tub. All towels and linens are provided.
Luna Vista has central heating and air-conditioning, but the outside living areas will draw you outdoors - try the cowboy shower or a soak in a cowboy tub! There’s nothing better after a day of desert fun! And while you’re here, don’t forget to experience the meandering nature trail that will lead you around the 2.5-acre property. Let us know in our wildlife log what creatures you encountered. With all this to see and do just outside your backdoor, you might never want to leave this magical place!
GUEST ACCESS:
Luna Vista is located at the top of the Joshua Tree Highlands, a beautiful and quiet neighborhood in the hills adjacent to the West Park Entrance. You must have a car to experience this area. Many of the roads are dirt roads, including in the Joshua Tree Highlands where Luna Vista is located.
JOSHUA TREE:
Joshua Tree is known for its iconic trees (actually not trees but belonging to the yucca family), its beautiful desert landscapes and Joshua Tree National Park, renowned for its unusual geology that has attracted climbers from all over the world. The Park's unique features, the quietude, expansive vistas, and special energy of the area has attracted and inspired artists of all types, many of whom have chosen to live in this creative environment. The awesome desert weather, flora and fauna add to the exceptional qualities of Joshua Tree.
PETS:
Your well-behaved dogs, weighing under 50lbs, are welcome with a non-refundable pet fee of $75 per dog up to 2 dogs MAXIMUM. San Bernardino requires that I confirm that all pets are currently licensed and vaccinated.
EXTRA GUESTS:
Guest count must be the same as on the reservation. Keep in mind there is an added $50/night Usage & Amenity fee (plus booking fees & taxes) per guest over the 4th to cover extra cleaning and amenity usage. Any day guest visitors must be approved prior to arrival. Day guests must leave by 10pm. Children over the age of 2 are considered as part of the total guest count.

We may be able to allow an early check-in and/or late checkout.
Early check-in: Please reach out via messaging 1 day prior to arrival for the request.
Late checkout: Please reach out via messaging before 11am on the day of your scheduled checkout.
If approved, there will be an additional charge of $25 per request.
WILDLIFE:
Please be respectful of our family home/property and the quiet desert environment and keep your volume down. We often have wildlife visits so be aware of possible rattlesnakes (rarely seen but still...) and watch for the endangered tortoises that are breeding nearby! Please don't touch or feed or them...
