Riomaggiere is worth the visit but be prepared to climb. Trattoria La Grotta nearby was excellent ambience and food. Alessandro was terrific! Very attentive proprietor..."

"Very nice house with friendly and helpful staff. Its a up hill walk of a medium distance. A bit difficult if you have baggage. Breakfast is not included. But just a 5 minute walk to the beach and Monterroso's esplanade. Old town is about 15 minutes walk along the sea. Plenty of eateries starting from the moment you come down the hill."
