The location is perfect—right in the heart of Istanbul, just steps from Galata Tower and within walking distance of great restaurants, cafés, and public transport. The hotel itself is clean, with well-maintained, comfortable rooms that made for a relaxing stay. The bed was comfortable, and the amenities added to the overall experience. What really stood out was the attentive service. If you’re looking for a comfortable stay in a prime location, Selvese Hotel Galata is an excellent choice. I would definitely return!

Its location is convenient to anything you may need, front desk is manned 24 hours and they were very helpful. Breakfast was wonderful and served in our room. Keep in mind Istanbul is very hilly, so what goes up must go down.😊

A beautiful hotel with character- the staff incredibly helpful and friendly, the rooms super clean (even if the ceilings were low at places it only added to the atmosphere) A nice, safe neighbourhood with some very trendy shops and cafes nearby while the area up the hill nearer the tower itself more touristy but with late night food/drink options

The hotel fit 5 of us very comfortably. It was quaint and comfortable. It was however far from the airport (about 20 minutes drive). Many shopping and Dinning options right outside the hotel. Helpful staff. Would definitely recommend.

An Honest Review!
An amazing base away from the busy and popular old city. The neighbourhood we stayed in was spectacular, with amazing restaurants, shops and sites to see! Most notably a short walk to the amazing Galata Tower! Yes you weren’t in the centre of the old city, but it was a short walk to the tram and only a few stops until you arrive to a wonderful and bustling area to explore. The hotel was character filled and quaint! The staff were friendly and had good enough English to communicate, especially the night shift manager, who was very helpful. The room was relatively small in size, but there was enough space to accommodate 4 guest s (including 2 teenagers). The bathroom was on the small side, and was the only let down of the property l. Otherwise a great place to stay for a short trip!
