"I was here for an 8-day ski trip, 6 nights in a Western-style room, and 1 night in a Japanese-style room. The hotel is very spacious and I really like the rustic/quaint atmosphere. I really liked that the western room had a couch. Made full use of the onsen and ski locker room in the basement. Free Kaiseki Breakfast was very convenient. "Waited till my trip of Japan was over to write a review. This was by far the worst hotel we stayed in our whole 3 week stay in Japan. Not only was the hotel filthy, I was charged an extra 23,000 yen for my wife to stay in the room with me!!! This is after already being charged 24000 yen for a room barely worth 10,000. "It's our second time to stay here as they got everything we need, washing machine, kitchen, spacing and nearby the slopes. Love everything here. It would be even greater if they have a curtain in the bedroom as I'm not a morning person and it's so bright in the morning."

"The hotel staff and people were spectacular! Breakfast was traditional Japanese style food, which may or may not suit westerners. Hotel is a bit dated and it shows. Our room was clean upon arrival; however, we encountered bugs and mosquitoes inside our 3rd floor room. This didn’t particularly bother us, but it may have an impact on other guests.
