"I was concerned after reading some of the reviews. I have found, but stayed here for 10 days on a retreat and the staff, food and facilities were first class. The front desk and all the staff were smiling, pleasant and incredibly helpful. This resort is a refuge surrounded by beautiful forest, exquisite, landscaping, and the river. "Absolutely perfect. The property was stunning. All finished are high end and wonderfully designed. Large rooms, comfortable bed, fantastic shower. Great communal areas. Incredible rooftop. "The staff were excellent in this quiet area right in the citadel. They were very empathetic when one of us were ill and even got us a Pandan porridge to lift their spirit. Good area for exploring the citadel. A grab ride to the louder, touristy parts of town. Very nice thank you!"

"The hotel provided an Old World atmosphere and elegance to get lost in. From the large and comfortable lobby, to dining areas and rooms/suites, you are provided a luxury feel. Staff were very attentive and responsive. The only drawback was the surrounding area outside the hotel, which was located on a major street and busy intersection."

"In a formerly war torn part of Vietnam, this hotel stands as a wonderful oasis of peace and tranquility. We can't speak too highly of this hotel to which we return every year. The rooms - we stayed in a sea view hill pool villa - have fantastic views and are huge providing a real sense of space and privacy. The quality of the food is excellent as well but what makes this place truly exceptional is the quality of service. The staff are so friendly and go to huge lengths to ensure guests' stays are as close to perfection as possible. Its the little touches that we liked - lovely birthday cake and tree planting ceremony on birthdays and the traditional Vietnamese afternoon tea experience."

"Had a wonderful stay here that we extended twice - we really enjoyed Hue, and this was an ideal location. Our room was very clean and spacious, with a very western-business aura. Lovely view of the river. Not tons of character but very well done all around. In our particular room, the mattresses seemed aging and weren't my favorite, but they were comfortable enough and again, very clean. The head of service, Van Duc, was helpful and so charming. He physically walked me and my mother to a pharmacy and helped us there in order to make sure my mom got what she needed, and was super knowledgeable about travel options with good prices on offer. He single handedly made this big fairly impersonal hotel feel welcoming and warm. And the food! A breakfast buffet that took about 5 minutes to do a lap around, with tons of Vietnamese, Chinese, and Western options including egg and noodle stations. Restaurant/lounge/in room dining super expensive though. All in all we loved our stay!"
