"Everything about this property was beautiful. The home itself being located right on the water was perfect for kayaking, fishing, evenings by the fire, relaxing and reconnecting. The house is gorgeous, comfortable, and had everything you might need/want. We enjoyed the game room - jenga and family air hockey tournaments. "We never left the property as it had all the comforts of home for a peaceful lake weekend getaway. Days filled with pristine lake swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding and pedal boats, early morning and night fishing… gorgeous sunsets, Nights spent by the firepit . House was spotless and had all the kitchen equipment we needed. All outdoor furniture and equipment ( grill, boats, ) were beautifully kept ! none of us wanted to leave when it was time to check out. "

"My son and I were in town for sports and it was great to have a home base. It's clean, cozy, had everything we needed, and good location to town and highways. (We stayed on second floor so there is a full flight of stairs to get in.) Host is great and super responsive. 2 Quick notes: offers a hot plate rather than a full stove and low ceilings for my 6'2" son, but overall we had a great visit and would go back if in the area again."

"Beautiful property with easy access to the lake. The three of us were comfortable with the home. The house is in a hilly neighborhood which would not be ideal for older adult walkers, but was fine for us. There was an unusually strong "garlicky" smell in the house that could use some scented or odor neutralizing candles. I don't know if it was from cooking, the floral shop or a natural insect repellant. Just worthy of note. A dehumidifier was in one of the bedrooms. Window air...

"Jim’s home was the perfect resting place & backdrop to my eldest sons wedding! The home provided space for all my immediate family members who traveled from Hawaii, Oregon, Florida, Vermont & New Hampshire. It’s was a quiet and peaceful retreat from all the hustle & bustle of a larger than life wedding weekend. The home has a large and well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and beautiful surroundings! We would def stay here again—thank you Jim for sharing this wonderful space with us!"

"We loved the lake and the location. Very nice lake. My kids loved swimming, kayaks and paddle boats. Lovely dock with gorgeous sunset. House is very rustic. The stairs are steep and slippery. "One of the best places I’ve stayed! My father was raised in Barre and we often have to stay in Gardner when we visit. It was amazing to not have to drive 20+ minutes to get to my cousins farm. The house feels like home. The beds were all comfortable. It was nice to be able to spread out and have enough space for everyone to relax. Couldn’t have asked for a better situation or host! I will definitely be booking again."
