"We went in knowing this is a self-service apartment with little to no interaction with staff necessary. However, any interaction we had with the desk was friendly, courteous and a credit to the property. "This was one of the most unique stays! You have to stay here on your stay in Fredericksburg! The train car was decorated in authentic (or what appeared to be) furnishings, especially highlighting President Theodore Roosevelt. It was bigger than expected. The days and nights were very quiet and peaceful. It will help if you bring a small flashlight to use if walking back at night because it can be dark as you approach the train car. "Very nice place although check-in/out is a little awkward. Kitchen has bare minimun with small coffee pot and only two small pre-measured coffee packets. We always travel with our coffee but there were no filters for using our own coffee. Paper towels worked okay. Water pressure was good but showerhead ended up being a stream. I'd stay there again."

"We enjoyed spending time at this house for my daughter’s 13th birthday and it did not disappoint!!! The pool and entertainment barn were a big hit and showstopper. Will definitely be back!! "

"I had a wonderful stay here,it was so quiet and peaceful on the grounds. I saw deer very often just walking around,it was amazing. The cabin itself was quaint,it fit my family. It was close enough to town without it being overwhelming. The winery had many great options of wine. I got a flight and the guy pouring the wine was very knowledgeable and funny. I wouldn't definitely book here again."

"This place is incredible… even better than photos! 5 bedroom single level with 4 full baths! Close to everything… home is so well stocked for all your needs… best VRBO we have experienced… great gathering area with views from most everywhere. Superb host… truly nothing was missing… loved it!"

"i love that it was closer to my family who we were visiting. The place was big enough for some of our family to come over and enjoy my cooking and play cards without getting on the bed. I wish more things was there like can opener, more stuff for the dishwasher. beside that we enjoyed our visit, and we will stay there every time we come to Texas o yea the door was so hard to open. Great/eclectic. Perfect w/ a little improvement.

"Overall very good! Embraces is 1980s roots. Take confirmation of any package offerings because this platform did not transmit the free parking or the food credit. (Check-in employee immediately honored it.) Two out of the four front desk employees were very friendly and one remembered my name later. Room was very comfortable after they promptly fixed the thermostat. There needs to be better lighting above the sink. Shower products are great but the lotion does not have a pleasant smell. The quick service breakfast place is overpriced (even for a hotel) and needs one more cook because it was slow. "
